What nvidia driver do you use for fsx

Recommended Posts

Just a note.

Using the latest 344 on GTX780 with no problems.

I always clean any old Nvidia stuff using DDU v.12.9.9.2.exe in safe mode, and then install the new in custom/clean install.

That .exe was recommended to me by Nvidia, and it also work with AMD and Intel files and folders.

As i said, just a note.

Another vote for the 344.11 driver they just released. I am normally very reluctant to move from a working combination, but the positive reports on the P3D got my attention.

Been running 344.11 for a few days now and haven't noticed any negatives. On the plus side, g-effects in DX-10 now work for me (they never used to) and the water animations in DX-10 seem smoother.

For the admins - why did this thread get moved to the hardware/video cards forum??? This is clearly an FSX discussion (as opposed ot he XPX or P3D where there are similar threads going on which didn't get moved! <_<

And now on 344.11. No problems after now 6 hours in a longhaul with CS777-200. Appears very smooth.

You get FSX to run for 6 hours without crashing? :D :D

Oh yes, longest flight is about 21 hours - no problem.

Best regards

Hi, Steve,

I'm currently using the latest Nvidia driver 344.11.

I love what it has done for both FSX and P3D so far. With FSX looking and running the absolute best I have seen to date.

Cheers,

Jim

Cheers Jim , I have also moved to 344.11, all seems fine. Only thing I have experienced in latest releases is I run 3 monitors on nvidia surround, if I call up a 2d window/gauge eg default gps, first time I hover over/ use it the screen goes black for about half a second, then comes back on again. Not a big issue though and gather others get the same thing. Older drivers didn’t do this, but I had issues with video playback on the older drivers which I no longer get :-)
