Speaking of ancient history…

 

Going to try out another classic GA aircraft for this week's flight. This is a Ryan Navion which deserves a chance to shine.

Rather nice freeware by our RTWR friends at Sim-Outhouse (with a Bernt Stolle assist on the flight dynamics). Well worth the price of admission.

Mike, anyone, does one just put the proxy folder in airplanes 'as is' or do you rename it, losing the 'PROXY_'?

The way it looks to me, just drop it in.  "PROXY_Ryan Navion_LDR " as a folder drop it in in into airplanes.

However, please download again (if you got it before 1445UTC on Saturday). I made an error in the assembly. (There is a texture file misnamed as "texture - copy" in the earlier DropBox posting. It is now properly named "texture". Sorry. Not enough coffee this morning.)

 

Note that I have stripped out the panel and sound and aliased the default Mooney Bravo. (To try out the aircraft, please download the full model and do a proper installation.)

Cheers also to Jeff (taffy) I found 5 bgl files in Addon Scenery\scenery. Deleted them and Bear Gulch is what it oughta be.

Another 'cheers' to Josh. DX10 fixer strikes again. More whitecaps, not 'in yer face' whitecaps but more of them. Excellent!

A bit of a traumatic evening for me, three OOMs and from the sound of it, a traumatic evening for Roman. Consolation is that it can't be worse. Next week eh?
