Why? bad FPS

Hello im getting some horrible fps on the 777. I fly the 737 aswell and im getting about 25-35 on the 737 and 10-20 on the 777.   Unflyable.

That's not amazing, but that's by no means "unflyable..."

 

There are numerous suggestions in the intro manuals to assist in optimization.

Yep, if 10-20 fps were to be "unflyable", I would have quit simming long time ago! It is what I usually get with the T7 and high quality airports.  :wink:

Upload your CFG here http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html  and let it tweak it for you. When I had an FX-8350 system I got between 18-25 FPS on the ground in the 777. Also if you put the mouse pointer in the very top left corner where that little white dot is it will give you a few extra fps. I'll be honest don't expect 30 fps on the ground with the FX-8350 FSX doesn't like AMD's. I can run nearly full settings, and overcast clouds and still maintain 30-35 fps on the ground with my new Intel.

If I were you I would try with a new FSX.cfg file.

Delete your FSX.cfg and FSX build a new.cfg file.

(Make a copy of the old one so you can reuse it if need be)

 

Then add nothing other than wideviewaspect=true.

 

Thereafter you can try to add tweaks ine by one and see what happens.

But I would not add anything other than Highmemfix=1 and ForcefullscreenVsync=1 to be honest.

 

 

Thereafter, or if you do not want to delete you FSX.cfg

 

You should try without this

You seem to have four video card entries?......that cant be right......(I am not sure which one you should keep.....so I would just try with a new FSX.cfg file):

dude amd is bad haha just kidding. did you tweak the .cfg file yourself or did you let venetubo tweaked it.. if i were you i'll just tweak it myself. so that you know what tweak that made your FSX slower. always remember when tweaking. one step at a time.

Try disabling sceneries that you don't use in your current flight. You can get some more performance when those unused sceneries are not loaded in the memory.
