FYI Turbine Duke V2 release

Recommended Posts

"There is a very easy way to alleviate the issue, not just on our products but on everyone else's. Press ALT to get the menu strip at the top and when you've finished with the mouse put the cursor level with the menu strip. The frame rate immediately recovers."

People go to great lengths to increase framerates, buying expensive systems, reducing autogen, using tweaks, etc.  But I tried your simple suggestion, just parking the cursor level with the top menu strip, and I get a consistent increase in the framerate of 5-10 fps.  That's incredible!

Thanks to Robert Young and RealAir!

Deep red w black on a silver base would look nice, I was also thinking of a 70s Gold would look nice too.

They are excellent ideas.. please add them to the lib when you finish. I appreciate work like yours very much.. I know corporate logo's and public service paints are popular, but that makes em a work plane.. I prefer the hot rods! B)

Thanks Hawk :)  N1029G has been submitted for upload.  I uploaded a 'clean' version, void of my little bits, except for a faint 'Don't Panic' on the seatbelt.  If you want a version with the 'bits' send me a PM and I'll email it to you.  After this upload, I am going to take a little break, I've had enough of photoshop for a week or so....getting the curve right on the roof to match the windshield curve took hours because I didn't have any reference mapping to go by lol  I'll get to some more color variations and styles in a little while after I get a chance to fly it for a little bit.

Thank you! Having done a few paints myself... oh brother do I know how you feel! I stopped talking to family, and moved into the basement for a month after I finished the Carenado T-prop Cutter Aviation repaint.

controller.com has a 1983 turbine conversion for $950,000 so not as expensive as you think

hmmm.. I can do 100 bucks... If we can start a club with 9500 members, it'll be 100 bucks each, with a total of 26 minutes solo time each year.

Robert&Sean,

I love the Duke!!!

Are you considering to implement a weather radar in the future?

I doubt we could do that in the short term. I believe there are payware or possibly freeware radars that you can easily use as 2d pop ups.

Well I hope it is very soon as I am getting very frustrated listening about how fantastic the Duke V2 is in FSX, and we P3D types cannot yet fly it ^_^

LOL...this one has been a long wait!! I am thinking that Realair may be holding this back until LM gets their next release all sorted out.

If you really can't wait for the p3d version, it's possible to use the fsx version in p3d, just don't expect any support. But, I haven't needed any so far... ;)
