2015 Initial Practice

Recommended Posts

Nice flight Roman, i was wondering what the error was but yes looks like your fuel level increased by 680 milligrams when you ran out of fuel.  That could just be an FSX thing or the aircraft model playing with the fuel numbers a bit.  In any case, if this were to happen in the race I'm sure you could appeal to the exec committee. ;)

Glad you landed it though.

I have the baton NZQN to NSTU in the PMDG 747-8F ASN weather.  Shaking off the cobwebs in the Queen.

Update:  After one disastrous attempt at a take-off (too much tail-heavy trim), I'm on my way to Pago Pago!

Eamonn,

Really ? 0.68 grams of juice screwed me on a final approach? When was already dead stick?

Definitely will have to take it up with the Duty Officer the next time I run outa gas. :LMAO:

The original post said - as an experimental run.

Glad you landed it though.

Of course!

Craig,

I gotta tell you man. Look at the text. Not one bouncy bounce in there. Smooth -

Sure hope you didn't bounce it at 1904 ft!

13/02/2015 16:04:58; -45.083784; 168.475741; 4914; -1228; 275; 265; 0

13/02/2015 16:08:00; -45.029567; 168.706191; 1904; -1552; 191; 191; 0

Better guess would be that the increased rate of descent sloshed the last ounce (literally) of fuel up against the tank float and it then bounced. Pretty intense modelling!

The 'refuel' was, as Eamonn says, 680mg (.024 oz  or about a half-teaspoon) and it wouldn't have taken long to determine it as a "non-event".

The devil is in the details.
