FSX: Steam Edition and FS Global Ultimate

Recommended Posts

I have FS Global Ultimate installed for Prepar3d.

So, it is sitting on the Harddrive and i want to add it to FSX:SE

Pilot`s announced a SE installer is coming but in the meantime it should be possible to manually add the existing files.

What is the correct way to add it to the Scenery Library manually? Didnt work when i try.

Thanks!

You have to modify the scenery.cfg file manually. It's adding the wrong directory during the install process.

Why not just go to your scenery library, add it as you add any addon scenery and browse to the correct folder? Simple. Just move it down your scenery order so it's in the correct spot.

After adding manual entries to scenery.cfg -> Problem solved!

In the Scenery Library GUI seems to be a bug or something

It was not possible to add the FS Global paths simply by selecting them.

Yes, it is the very same 'bug' that has existed in FSX since day one...

Yes. The workaround has also been known and mentioned many times over the past few years. Right-click in the center of the open window...

Hey guys. So I just have FSX SE installed but my FS Global 2010 installation fails due to scenery config location. I already edited the .XML files in the Orbx folder to point to SE. What else do I need to do?
