Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0 Pressurization Issue

Recommended Posts

Hi--

Anyone out there with some advice regarding Eaglesoft's Citation X pressurization bug?    I've had the aircraft

for some time and its a real beauty, save for this extremely disappointing issue.    I've been pulling my hair out,

in trying to understand what's going on.

I made sure that I had the latest, and apparently last hotfix. I've gone through the manual/checklists with a fine

toothed comb to ensure I'm following the proper procedure, and am all but certain that I am.

There's a solution/workaround that was suggested by some that is supposed to work.    You're supposed to

set the altimeter to below 29.92 and then back to field elevation, which is supposed to then make the

pressurization work.    I've tried it several times, and no dice for me.

Since then I've tried substituting the Eaglesoft cabin altitude/cabin climb gauges of the panel with others, thinking

that the plane's native gauges were the source of the problem.    No success.    Several otherwise good flights

continue to be thwarted by the CABIN ALTITUDE warning.    I can't figure it out, but I'm going to have to shelve

the plane once and for all unless I find the answer.   :(

Eaglesoft is still selling its Citation 2.0, I've watched numerous videos on YouTube of folks who are apparently

flying the plane with no such issue, yet I continue to experience it.    I know that no one computer system is

the same as another, but I don't think there's anything about mine that makes it such an outlier.   I have a

stable of numerous aircraft that work just fine.

Any advice or suggestions from satisfied Eaglesoft Citation X pilots?

Gentlemen,

I appreciate your attention, and your taking the time to reply.   I should have specified that I've tried that forum

a number of times over the past couple of years, but have not found any helpful information.   Indeed, it is via

the forum that I learned, some time back, of a hotfix that was available that supposedly solved the problem.

I verified that I had the applicable version of the Citation X, yet I continue to have the problem.

Since some time back, however, the forum has been updated, and all threads referencing the Citation X 2.0

are gone.   :excl:    Another visit to the forum today, per the suggestion, revealed that that has not changed.

The only Citation X reference is to the 1.0 version, in the legacy section, which is, of course, not of help.

This is extremely perplexing and troubling, as the Citation X 2.0 has remained on the front page of Eaglesoft's

website for years.   It clearly remains one of their flagship products, yet there's no reference to it in the

forum page?  :excl:

Is there something that I'm missing?  Could someone please give my guidance as to where on the forum to

begin a search, for the solution to this issue?

You have to be logged in to the forum to see all sub forums. I just checked, and the Citation C750 Extreme V2.0 support forums are definitely there...

Are you expecting the aircraft to pressurize on the ground? I have heard of some people expecting it to pressurize on the ground. It does not, part of the squat switch. It should start to pressurize to the preset altitude at 500fpm once airborne.

It's all integrated/automated...There is no "bug". Don't try to make it like some other aircraft. B)

Lots of misinformation in this thread...

Support is offered to registered members in the Eaglesoft forums. I can tell you what the problem is... there.

Folks,

Thanks for your responses and your attention.    The change in the format of the forum page threw

me.

I found my username and password for the Eaglesoft forum, logged in, and did some more digging.

I think I found the solution.    I take it that it's the FSUIPC issue; I had tried that (or so I thought)

but discovered a step that I missed.

Time to fire up the ol' Citation X again and give it another try.   Fingers crossed!
