[21FEB15] A Couple General Updates - NGX, J41, Xplane, P3D...

Recommended Posts

Yes, but when they say that it should be this week and then suddenly this week comes and goes with no word or update or anything, they're obligated once they announce they are updating anything - true, they don't have to give a update date - but they keep choosing to, its been nearly a month since i first heard "This week" and apparently this isn't the first time they have been doing this.

I've said something to that affect before and if the trolls didn't get on me, technical support did.  All I ever said was that it would be nice to be kept up to date.  From now on I'm just going to keep quiet for fear of stepping on some nerves.

If you're going to use legal analogies, your "case" would have aready been dismissed for failure to state a legally cognizable claim.

People have gone to court and won for over a matter concerning less then 95 dollars, so i am pretty sure the fact that i have 'invested' 95 dollars into PMDG, they are obligated to some things. and one is delivering a working product in a timely manner.

The product already works as advertised. If you're having issues getting it to work, contact support. If you bought it thinking it would work on FSX SE, that's your own damn fault for not reading the system requirements where it clearly states it's only compatible with FSX. That wouldn't hold up in a court of law. So no, PMDG are still not obligated to give you anything, especially through your own wrongdoing.

The ones moaning about "deadlines" not being fulfilled (btw they're estimated timeframes with no certainty in it), are the ones that are the first to moan when something's not right.

PMDG are not entitled to do anything for you. You are a customer with zero influence on the company's decisions. They could go as far as to hit the delete key and never mention the NGX update again and you could do nothing about it (but moan obviously...you're very good at that).

It's ready when it's ready. At the end of the day it's an addon for a game. Go do something else useful with your life while you're waiting. Your life does not depend on this minor update that brings weather radar and a few fixes. You've been happy for the last 3 years, so stop whinging and whining.

Isn't it the wingers and whiners that have bought the need of this update to the attention of the developers. If it was not for the whingers and whiners, you possibly wouldn't have any thing at all to look forward too at this present time, praise the whingers and whiners I say. Whinging and whinging about the whingers and whiners is counter productive to improvement of our favourite products. So here I am whinging and whining about whingers and whiners, whinging and whining about whingers and whiners, what the hell, lol ???

PMDG777, your obviously not an NGX person, you've had your 777 update, we're still waiting for ours, 3 yrs on.

I really am astonished at the lack of gratitude towards some flight sim developers when they add new content for free. It's not just PMDG, the X-Plane developer Flightfactor recently added the -200ER and new Rolls Royce engines to their 777 - for free - and all some people could do was moan about the virtual cockpit not being very nice.

When was the last time Microsoft added a new app to Office and gave it away free?

I agree devs have a responsibility to update and support their products to work on the latest hardware, OS, and flight sim platform. But adding new content like weather radars, aircraft variants and engine options are above and beyond the call of duty.

While they are adding the content in for free, that is true - and we didn't ask them to add in this, they choose to and be nice to their customers. But there are a large amount of customers thanks to streamers and such that now that its out on steam rushed to buy the aircraft and got nothing more then a 95 dollar digital paperweight, they cant fly it, they cant do anything with it other then look at it - and if you're playing a flight sim and cant fly - well then, i think you're not playing the right game. Personally if it had been my company, i would of chose to fix compatibility issues, then add the Weather radar and THEN focus on porting the aircraft to a new platform - fix what you have before you try to make and improve it

I warned you all earlier to knock it off, and added that I wouldn't give a second warning, so...

First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached...

...then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.
