Lake Tahoe or Palm Springs airport?

Recommended Posts

i got some extra cash and just wondering what is a better airport to purchase? I already have the northern cal and central Rockies installed. I ususaly fly the pmdg 737 so that will be fun flying into Palm Springs. And I fly prop plans once in a while so Lake Tahoe would be nice for that. Which airport is better quality? Seems like Palm Springs you get more square miles of coverage. Thanks

I also I am upgrading to a 970 Gtx this week. I will have an i7 930 OCed to 4.0. 12 gb of ram.

Do ya guys also use the bufferpool to 0 tweak? Thanks guys

I have Palm Springs installed and consider it to be the best airport I have purchased. The attention to detail and quality is impressive.

Don't have Lake Tahoe. I'm on DX10 with Steve's DX10 fixer so don't use bufferpool 0 tweak.

If you are only buying one, then Palm Springs.

Its not just the airport.

An approach from the NNE crosses over the town which is nicely modeled

Get both.  Each is in a totally different environment.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

I live near Lake Tahoe in Nor Cal.   IMO, KTVL is a poor showing and had I tried before buying I would not have bought.  It has a poor Quality:Performance ratio as it were.  This IS ONLY MY OPINION, of course.

KPSP is excellent in every way...which reminds me I need to get back there.   Ever since PMDG T7 w/ FSCaptain and GSX bloomed I forgot how nice KPSP is...
