Anyone try the iFly 747 for P3D?

Recommended Posts

What kind of performance do you get with the 747...if you compare it to another airplane you have.  And do you have a sense for how much VAS it takes compared to the NGX?

Performance is on par with NGX/777 on my system. In terms of VAS I was able to fly a 5H flight last week from VCBI-VHHH with freeware VCBI and T2G and Fly Tampa Scenery for HK. I don't remember the exact VAS numbers but I know that I was not worried about a OOM on approach based on the available figure from Chaseplane.

A Big disappointment freezes up 90% of the time, massive frame hit, causes OOM in the least detailed airports - yet to complete a domestic flight so an international one is out of the question

No freezes for me, runs really decent and no OOM errors either on latest P3D and FTX Global, Vector, AS16 and with 45% AI. I usually have active the city pair that I will be flying and the rest disabled using Scenery Configuration Editor. I follow the Rob's P3D guide for settings on my i7 4790K/GTX 970 and 3440x1440 resolution monitor.

I really like this addon and I wish that they can come out with a freighter version.

I bought it last week. Works perfectly fine with the latest version of P3d. I lost about 4fps over the Aerosoft A320 in the VC which is acceptable.

I like it.

Working well for me in P3D v3.4. Still getting decent fram rates, it has LOTS of functionality for the price (compared with PMDG standards) and it flies beautifully. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Nothing wrong with ifly other than it can be FPS hungry and a little hard on VAS. But if you set your settings accordingly it's great.

Thanks very much guys!

The iFly has all the features, for a fair price!

Cheers

David

Indeed! Amazing price for the quality. I see no reason to switch to the other now.
