FSTramp information Please

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Well finaly back in the air with FSX Gold Sim set on DX9  and I have purchased my Focker100/70 from Flight one. Even though I used to fly project focker in FS2004 I have many things to recall into my gray matter before take off will be attemted. No problems with the Beech barren58 All ILS flights are working well  and my site seeing free flights and manual landing are now back up to an accepable level.

I am currenty useing Plan-C v3.11 for my moveing map, But with a slow to react brain these days I can get confused on my approch. When I used FS Navigator I used an app that said Fly to here and clicked on the destination and off I went.

Could any member who uses SSTramp please tell me,does it  have that facility.(fly to here) and has it any faults with FSX.

I will realy appreciate your Help again.

Rex

Yes "Fly to Here" is available after takeoff and with an aircraft that has a autopilot.

I have not encountered any problems using FSTramp with FSX.

I also use FSTramp and have had no problems with it. I primarily use it as a moving map so that I have some idea of the general terrain area I am flying over at that moment. It does have a fly-to and a skip-to capability as well.

It's basically the same as the old FSNav. WE use it a lot at our VA clubhouse as well, as networked planes can be seen.

FSTramp in combination with Flight1´s GTN 650/750 is by far the best navigation/RNAV solution for FS. Ok at least for me ;)

FSTramp has to display options the docked and the undocked option. If you bring up FSTramp undocked (check the default key combination) then you should be able to drag it onto another screen.

From their website - looks like it does

  • Updated data for waypoints, airways and IFR airport procedures

(SIDs, STARs, Approaches). For the cyclic update compatible

FMS data are available at Navigraph.

Plus a 20 sim session demo available - to check out the CTD's

I don't use it yet, but am going to give it a trial..

On the FSTramp webpage it states:

FSTramp does not work when FSX or FSX-SE is in full screen mode.

FSTramp does work when P3Dv2 is in full screen mode.

The reason why FSTramp works in P3D2´s fullscreen is that it is not a native fullscreen mode. So no probs with P3D2 :)
