Go around - positive rate

Bryan, during a go around (voice mode), after the captain says "go around", the FO replies "go around" and right after "positive rate", when the rate of climb is not positive, yet. This makes me think that the SDK doesn't allow to know if the rate is in fact positive or not. Is it possible to delay the "positive rate" some 5 seconds, so that the captain has the time to say "flaps 20" before the copilot aknowledges positive rate? The sequence should be:

PF: go around

PNF: go around

PF: flaps 20

PNF: flaps 20

PNF: positive rate

PF: gear up

(PNF: gear up).

We can read rate of climb without the PMDG SDK.

 

As I look at the code, the positive rate call should only play after the climb rate is greater than 200 fpm.

Thanks, Bryan, I will try tonight at home and report. I did about 10 go arounds and each time I heard "go around positive rate" but maybe I was already pulling and the airplane was already at 200 fpm or more.

Did some more tests. I have just tried, I said "go around" at 200 feet while I still was with a constant descent rate of 750 fpm (*descent*), kept by the autopilot on the glideslope. The FO replied "check, positive rate".

I tried again at about 500 ft and I didn't get the "positive rate", thus at that altitude it works. Then I tried with the slew: I said "go around" at 500 ft and got "check", then slewed down the airplane with the F1 key and, upon reaching about 300 ft, I got "positive rate".

Something doesn't work below around 300 ft, below that altitude the FO sees the airplane climbing even if it is descending, while above 300 ft it looks ok.

I see the issue now and how altitude is a factor.

Sorry to bug you, Bryan, but are there any news on v 1.5? I practice go arounds and the FO that always says "positive rate" as soon as I say "go around" is quite annoying  :( . Thanks.

1.5 is sitting on my computer, and that issue has been fixed.

 

I want to release 1.5 side by side with the French voice set.  The French voice set is the hold up I'm afraid.  It's taking much longer than expected.
