Control panel should work fine - you must uninstall it to use V2 - but you know that :)

I  assume there is no need to back up any files prior to uninstall V 1?

How would you who has used it compare it to FTX Global+Vector?

You can't compare them because they don't do the same job. Ultimate Terrain (UTX) is comparable to FTX OpenLC+Vector. Both are landclass (deciding whether to display trees, houses, tower blocks, fields etc) and roads, rivers and railways.

You can use UTX with textures from FTX Global of Flight1 Ground Environment Europe.

I compared yesterday again UTX V2 US and Europe for me is better uninstalled vector and Euro LC - if that answers your question - 30 day refund if you dont like it - I doubt it - has LC and Vector in it now no need for anything else just make sure you uninstall ftx stuff and any other LC products such as scenerytech as you will not need them anymore and the lights ar very configurable whish is very nice

Global textures is a must - there is two small patches for US to blend better with global in simforums

Maybe this will help you

I think you are running P3D, In FSX DX 10 on my machine the street lighted textures flicker. I also compared UTX Lights to Night Environment and the UTX Lights look to be out of scale (too large). I really wanted UTX Lighting to work.

Yes I have seen flickering but has gone away in P3D - (fxaa off fixes that but have it back on and flickering is gone might be do to all of the driver settings I have been trying - maybe NI has eliminated that)

you can lower the size of the lights to small - but I would assume you have tried that - there is different textures you can pick in the light menu
