Hi,

Have you got RC4 mapped to your FSX version using the FLT/.WX path under RC options on your opening screen?

Do you have the correct FSUIPC version installed?

These runtime errors can be caused by incorrect paths set or by something deeper such as in the registry.

Make sure that your are running everything as Administrator too.

For Win 7 or later:

Create a shortcut to rcv4.exe. Right click on the shortcut and select Properties. On this first tab enable Run as Admin. Click Advanced. On this second tab enable this run as admin also. It's different. Click OK to return to first tab. Click Apply to save settings for both tabs. Click OK to exit the properties tab.

To check/set your registry path for FS, get this free registry checker and repair utility from:

http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library

You might have to right click on it and select run as admin.

The latest versions of full and interim FSUIPC updates are here:

http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/

The version installed by RC is outdated. See notes for each FSUIPC  update on the link I provided.

Be sure RCv4.exe is allowed to get to FS and your documents folder by your antivirus application.

When setting your flt/wx path do NOT cancel out of the explorer type window but always click OK even if the path is the same. Cancel removes data from the rcv3.dat and keyboard.dat files in your rcv4/rcv4x folders requiring a reinstall of RC. If you lost your current key open with notepad the file keyboard.dat in your rc4/rcv4x folder. The key is the last entry in it as the string of alphabetical characters. You might wish to save that key in a text file somewhere. Do this before an RC reinstall in the same HD area. When copying the key and pasting it in the registration dialog, be sure there are no leading or trailing spaces as Windows is prone to do.
