Scrambled ND display in P3D version

Recommended Posts

Before i raise a ticket....

Has anyone noticed a graphical anomaly with the Navigation Display in the P3D version of the NGX, when choosing the old style side-by-side displays?

The issue is that the truncated compass rose (at the top of the half of the ND dedicated to the moving map) appears behind the VSI and other primary display gauges that display in the left half of the ND, but only when the weather radar or terrain radar are turned on.

When turning, the parts of the rose showing behind the instruments then starts to scramble and the left side of the ND becomes a garbled mess of white.

Will try and get a screenie when back at my PC.

But to re-iterates:

- P3D version of NGX, -800 or -900 models

- displays set to old style side-by-side displays (ala Continental Airlines)

- only occurs when turning on either radar (turning off stops the issue from happening)

Thanks all. Im LOVING having the NGX back in P3D!

This will only stop when you place your card into the ATM machine and enter your PIN number.  :P

(Sorry - had to give you a hard time on the thread title: "ND Display.")

The compass truncation issue has been reported, but I haven't heard the other issue that you've mentioned. I'll have a look tonight and see what's up.

Hi

I have the same problem but in FSX original in both the 737-700 and 900 with the side by side display. It only happens on the Captain's side.

and disappears when display is clicked on as below

Should I submit a ticket?

No. This has already been reported/fixed. Thanks for checking though.

Thanks Kyle. Could you please tell me where I can find the fix that you mention?

It should be in the next update that we've been testing.  It'll be announced when it's ready to push out the hanger.
