NGX SP1D Autobrake Issue

After installing SP1D for the NGX, it appears that stowing the Speedbrake Lever after landing no longer disconnects the autobrakes?

 

Is this a bug?

Interesting, I never knew the speed brakes would or could be disconnected that way. I'll have to check that out.

Oh no!! It kept saying that the service was unavailable due to scheduled maintenance/high domain traffic. So sorry about that!!! :-(

After braking has started, any of the following pilot actions disarm the system immediately and illuminate the AUTO BRAKE DISARM light: • moving the SPEED BRAKE lever to the down detent • advancing the forward thrust lever(s), except during the first 3 seconds after touchdown for landing • applying manual brakes.

It's been working for me recently. Perhaps something is interfering in your setup.

I wasn't asking for an apology. I already cleaned up the results of the error. I'm just kinda baffled why so many people seem to correlate "service unavailable" with "didn't post," so I've been pointing it out wherever I can.

- Cleared all of the panel states that were saved prior to SP1D

- Uninstalled the NGX and then downloaded and installed again.

 

For those of you where this feature is working, can you confirm that you're definitely running SP1D?

I wasn't aware that stowing the speedbrakes would disarm the autobrakes, but I'm not saying that it should not work that way.

 

However, in a typical landing scenario, the action that disarms the autobrakes is to manually apply the toe brakes on the rudder pedals. One quick FULL application and release of pedal brakes should do the trick.

 

If you don't have hardware pedals, this won't work of course, but if not, then I assume you do have brakes assigned to a joystick button at least.

 

The speedbrakes (ground spoilers) that deploy on landing should automatically retract after you turn off of the runway, and advance your throttles above idle to begin your taxi to the gate.

can you confirm that you're definitely running SP1D?

 

Definitely not.  PMDG has dropped the service pack identification and now uses only the version number, current is 1.10.6461 which you can use the OC to confirm is current.

 

FCOM 14.20.5 moving speed brake lever to down position will disarm autobrakes BUT you need to make sure you are in the down position and not armed.  Also, manual brakes or adding thrust after first 3 sec following touchdown will also disarm, are these working for you?  Typically, speedbrakes are disarmed using manual brakes and I've never tried to disarm them with down speed brake method.  Not sure why I'd want to do that other than testing that it works, looking forward to you confirming the problem or resolution.
