"Unhandled exception" when opening ASN settings

Recommended Posts

Hello Pero,

first of all thanks for your fantastic tool !!!

Unfortunately I need to report a problem with your latest SimStarter version, v2.6 build 2:

I am on P3D v2.5, ASN for P3D SP2 build 5532, Windows 8.1.

When switching to the ASN page within the Profile Settings I get an unhandled execption error message:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi Tom.

uuups, that should be fixed...

Can you please send me your "ASN.cfg" file?

Located here:

%AppData%\Hifi\ASNP3D

Which language is your operating system running?

My email adress can be found at "SIMstarter" > "About"

Hi Pero,

I took a look into the ASN.cfg file and figured that there where date given in MM/DD/YYYY format.

After changing my Windows 8.1 from German to English US the dates on my machine were displayed as DD/MM/YYYY.

I have just switched the date format on my machine to DD.MM.YYYY and now SimStarter opens the ASN config page without any problem.

So it was a confusion of the date format in the cfg.

From my point the problem is solved and the case is closed.
