Radar Contact 4 ATC and X-plane plugin

Recommended Posts

I used to run RC4 on a networked PC. Can I do the same in X-Plane with RC running on a networked PC?

I keep getting a "RC4toXplane is not registered, put a license file in the plugins folder" message even though the plugin is registered and the license file is always there. Maybe some sort of intermittent activation server issue or something?

Unfortunately I cannot make this plugin get to work.

Does anyone know what to do next?

Do I also have to make a FS.. format flt.PLN? When I try to run this I get Run-time error '713'.

Class not registered. YOu need the following file to be installed on your Machine.

MSSTDFMT.DLL

The CTRL+word not allowed+1 etc/ key combinations also do not work when mapped for RC4 to X-plane. Can someone aid me in this? Thanks.

The error message isn't coming from the plugin.

It comes from the main Radar Contact ATC program. It's a known issue and there is a fix in this RC4 forum thread.

To save you searching for the dll online, grab this zip file which containes all the dlls RC4 could be complaining about

here is the download link, from our website. You only need a couple for Windows 10

Hi Gerald,

Thank you lad! Will have this in the  folder stored😉

I am glad I am having this up and running now.

Just a shame that X-plane does show the same AI interaction that FSX/P3D does.

(By this I mean A.I ATC interaction over the comms)

Greetings,

Peter

Hi all,

I've emailed the registration file to the email address stated and got a reply stating I should put the attached license file in the same folder as registration.txt,  however there was no attachment to the email?

Hi I've bought your wonderful program because I sorely missed RC4 as well :).

However when I press the start RC4 button inside (green radar button) the main RC4 program I'll get an error saying:

Run-time error '9' :

RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code

And RC4 quits.

I also installed makerwys.exe for XP. Let RC4 rebuild it's database but still the above mentioned error message.

UPDATE: I realised that you really need the FS2004 flight plans as input for RC4 and not the FSX .pln files because these do generate the above mentioned error.

Bought x-plane from STEAM.  Think it handles things different.  There is no option to run the x-plane

desktop icon or the x-plane application file in the x-plane folder as administrator.

Also there is no x-plane-32bit.exe file that I can find.  In order to get rid of the pop up box telling you to

make those two files as administrator, I had to change the STEAM icon on my desktop to run as administrator.  That did the trick.

You have to start RC from the addons menu or whatever it's called when you are in the sim. I've been using it for a couple of years in XP11 and now 12. Works great. I exclusively use FSX .pln flightplans generated by Little NavMap.

In response to my own topic, created a desktop icon from the x-plane application file in the x-plane 11 folder.  Was then able to make it administrator.

The original one that steam creates was not able to do that.

Here's an ATC add-on I've been seeing praized by many but never tried myself... Actually the lack of a simple to setup, standalone ATC robot is something I deeply miss in XP..

Unfortunately default ATC is superior in MSFS 2020 so I kept using it, before buying FSHUD, which together with FSLTL are giving me my best experience ever in ATC for flight simulation.

But I've read about how good RC is, in p3d, and maybe I'll give it a try one if these days.
