Wednesday 'Very Casual' Flights.

Recommended Posts

Should anyone like to fly online on a Wednesday I propose running the server from 19.00 UDT.

What I had in mind was a 'Pick an airfield, any airfield, pick a heading, any heading and see what we come across. We could make stipulations as to aircraft type, distance between airports, types of airports (grass only, Municipal, international etc.)

Anyway, the server will be up next Wednesday whatever happens. :smile:

Real weather, current season, so some of you will have to purchase Opus :Tounge:

Teamspeak=RTW server.

Nice flight, purty country and Sedona is extremely well done and smooooooth! Note to self: Do not fly a Waco in 22kt crosswind and hope to land with any kind of decorum. :rolleyes:

Wednesday is my hiking day... but otherwise the idea sounds good  :rolleyes:

BTW,  is anyone looking at the proposed Tom A. memorial flight on May 2nd?

Not quite clear to me what server is hosting the flight..

Not me. I can only envisage a somewhat less than dignified shambles. Given the trials and tribulations of newbie Teamspeakers and newbie onliners not finding IPs, servers crashing etc. etc. There has to be a better way. Sorry.

I must say that I do not wish to disparage, in any way, the intentions of the organiser

This Wednesday, should anyone care to join me, will start at 53CL and take a heading of 260 finishing at KBLU. From what I can gather an aircraft capable of landing on a sixpence (or dime if you must) Distance is 136 nautical miles.

Start time 1900Z

You would have to choose a Wednesday when Liverpool are playing on TV, wouldn't you!  If we go two goals down I'll come and fly....

Many of you will have noticed that a course of 260 would have sent us far out into the Pacific ocean. Naturally, I meant a course of 080. Which took us over some very beautiful countryside and allowed for landing at several intersting airports.

When I say 'we' I mean 'me'. :BigGrin:
