Problems with OSM and Simheaven.com Photoreal

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

to me it seems I have my scenery in order, but maybe I'm just not understanding this correctly.  I'm not seeing the photo real scenery.  So far I've tried multiple airports in North America.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

I can already see you have 2 different layers of NA buildings in (osm and w2xp), which seems redundant. I don't see though any photo scenery layers. They should be below the W2XP stuff. Which did you download/generate?

There doesn't seem to be any photoscenery installed in the list, so either you've only downloaded just the patch file from the site (They no longer offer photoscenery just patches for existing photoscenery), or you haven't placed it into the Custom Scenery folder, as it would show up on that list.

Additionally SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Osm_North-America/, would completely block all of the World2XPlane North American sceneries below it. See here http://world2xplane.com/2014/05/21/scenery-order-in-x-plane/

Hello, thanks for the reply guys. I see where my confusion lays. I though the file I added in there was already the photo scenery. So if they don't offer it, there's no way to get it now? I believe there is another site that offers photo scenery, I'd have to find it again when I get home from work.

Just download, unzip and drop into your Custom Scenery folder

Awesome, I'll try it out. Thanks a lot for your help. I'll also remember to re-arrange correctly. Thanks a lot again!
