Missing 600/700 vers' after installing in FSX SE

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I've just installed the latest download files for the 800/900 base, and the 600/700 add on for FSX SE, and after installing the 600/700 package, it's showing in my con.fig manager, and in my list of programs for un-installing, but there are no files for the 600/700 package, appearing in the sim/objects folder, under airplanes, and the aircraft are missing in the aircraft section, after loading up FSX SE!

Any ideas, the previous ver's worked fine, this has only happened after installing the latest drivers?

Thanks for advice..

You sure you're using the latest installer for BOTH 800/900 and 600/700?

Hi,

Thanks for a quick reply, I've downloaded the latest drivers, 3 or 4 times now, and the 600/700 after installing appears in the Operations Manager, as updated correctly, but no liveries are listed, there are no 600/700 aircraft listed in sim/obs folder, and no aircraft in sim, even installing the previous driver doesn't appear now either!

Cheers,

Mal Walsh

I chose the 'repair' function. Did I do right or, should I have un-installed and reinstalled please?

What version does the OC indicate you have?

As long as you don't see anything odd, you should be fine. If you see something odd, uninstall/reinstall.

Hi,

Latest ver:-1.10.6461, listed for both 800/900 and 600/700! Although as stated the 600/700, is no where to be seen in the sim!

Do you have both FSX and FSX:SE installed, or just FSX:SE?

Hi,

Uninstalled boxed FSX, cleared out registry of all files, made a new path to FSX SE...so only FSX SE installed, and with all previous add ons working, Orbx/ASN etc:, everything was working fine until I uninstalled old drivers, and re installed the latest ones, now neither of the 600/700 drivers work, strange!

Cool - glad you have it working. Oddly enough, when both are installed on the same machine, it can cause weird issues like this.

Hi,

Sorry, you have miss understood me, I haven't got the 600/700 working at all, neither the old driver, nor the latest driver are working!

The 600/700 add on will not install!...FSX SE installed on its own!

Thanks,

You keep saying "driver." What driver are you referring to? A graphics card driver?

...or are you confusing "driver" and "installer?"

Regardless, it might be best to submit a ticket at support.precisionmanuals.com

Sorry, the latest 600/700 download file, from my account, after unzipping, and installing, the Operations Manager shows the 600/700 listed under FSX SE, but no actual files get installed into my FSX SE folder, on my computer!

Cheers,

made a new path to FSX SE

Why did you have to make a new path. I think maybe that is your issue ?  Did you change path during install ?

Sounds like you have installed it, but directed it to an incorrect path. If the path set by installer is incorrect, then. your registry could be wrong. Maybe. I would do a verify of FSX -SE in steam. Instructions for that can be found easily by using google.

If you search your fsx dir, I bet you will find it, but not in the dir it should be.

Hi Badfinger,

I had to reset the path to FSX SE. to enable Orbx to install, and after this everything I've installed has gone in correctly, except the 600/700 add on, the strange thing is it worked perfectly before the latest update, installing first time!

I've Found them under AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX/SimObjects/Airplanes! Tried to just copy them over to Steam etc, still not working!

I've just deleted my 737 NGX for now, I'll investigate further at a later date, FSX SE is running great at the moment, and everything installs correctly, so I'll leave well alone for the moment!

Thanks for your help guys!
