Wingtip vortices wrong position on 737

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have seen that the wingtip vortices on a PMDG 737 NGX appear on the wingtip, near the winglet. In real life they appear on the TE outer flap tip (see video below). Is it possible to change something in the configuration in order to have them there?

Thanks.

This would require a change in the geometry of the aircraft in the aircraft.cfg file. We do not recommend it as it would break PMDG's EULA.

I see that the wing_span parameter should be decreased, but, besides breaking the EULA, wouldn't it also tamper the aerodynamic behaviour of the airplane?

It might or might not, the documentation is unclear.

I found a way without modifying the data in the aircraft.cfg file. Just changed the X Offset and Y Offset in the fx_vaportrail_r.fx (and -l) and it works perfectly
