Aerosoft Split is out ...but

Recommended Posts

Not saying this will be the case for all but be warned

I just installed it on my works PC to have a look. FSX btw.

The opening screen now plays the micolight engines sounds and Ive lost all PMDG Ng sounds.

Lights also seem to be problem.

Sad was looking forward to this, Glad I did not install it into P3D.

Seems even with delays its still not right.

Thanks David for the heads-up! Was about to buy. Now I will wait for a fix before buying... I'm really looking forward to the scenery. The visual approach to runway 23 is a lot of fun in the NGX...

I only read that these problems seem to occur only in FSX? How about P3D?

I assume that there are no problems as I just saw the videos made by Rob.

Yes ... posted my video in this thread - just a quick tour: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/467798-split-x-in-4k/

There were a few z-fighting issues here and there ... I didn't notice any issues with lights or sounds in P3D.  Haven't tested with the PMDG 737.

Only issue I noted is that the APController.exe will not shutdown if you are close to OOM or have an OOM ... so next time you start P3D you will get two instances of APController.exe running which does cause all kinds of issues.

Cheers, Rob.

Yes, and others like UT2 would sometimes stay loaded and my GoFlight exe would sometimes stay loaded.  Just something I need to check after before restarting P3D.

Cheers, Rob.

I also bought it yesterday (but for P3D)  and didn't notice any issues with the PMDG 737 sounds.

This airport was going to use new tech but it was pulled from it and not used, so that was a due about nothing. So just what is this APController.exe controlling. Its just a small addon airport nothing like a Flightbeam airport, just what the hell is going on with this little airport?

Would like to hear from others with the PMDG NG within P3D about sounds. I dont want to screw P3D up over one airport.

No Idea Oliver I wish we know. If it is its needs to go back to private testing.

Kok posted that the new VAS out of sim stuff got pulled so imo it became a "normal" addon airport.

What am angry about is even after un-installing it the APController.exe is still there asking fsx for verification on start up. Some un-installer that is!!! and still lost sounds in the PMDG NG within fsx.
