P3d errors

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just gave in and bought the p3d 777LR package which runs on windows 8.1 and high level processor stuff I'll spare the details on.

first and foremost, the displays are very blurry. It COULD be my monitor, but a secondary one had same results. tried playing with display settings and no luck correct it.

Second, upon autopilot disconnect on final to EGLL (with aerosoft EGLL), I was unable to silence the disconnect alarm until engines shut down at teh gate. Any idea how to clear that error out??

Thank you for your help,

Sumner

Sumner, full names are required in the PMDG forum.

As to your second question, using the search function reveals the answer as does reading the manual that comes with the aircraft. Answer is in the quotes below so I didn't have to type as much.

You're not supposed to turn off the AP with either the AP button, or the disengage bar. Use the AP DISCONNECT button on the yoke (you can also set up a key command to do this). Press this button once to disable the AP. Press it a second time to tell the system that the action was intentional (which also turns off the alarm). Please read the intro manual. This, and other common mistakes/misconceptions are addressed there.

While this stops the siren, this is not the appropriate action for stopping the wailer sound. How do you think the crews without the resettable siren disable the sound? Please read the intro manual for the proper solution, or see above.

ght the p3d 777LR package which runs on windows 8.1

Quote from product page: OS: Windows 7 64-bit (older OSes such as Windows XP, 32-bit OSes, and Windows 8 may work, but we cannot guarantee compatibility or support)

Blurries are very common complain for new P3D users.  Check out the AVSIM P3D forum on tips on setting it up and using it.
