Saitek ProFlight Not Recognized / Power Issue

Recommended Posts

Back in early march 2017, my Son gave me a birthday voucher, with which I purchased the Saitex yoke and throttle quadrant. big mistake! My FSX is now in ruins! I had previouly installed over a grands worth of A2A civil Aircraft, and ORBX scenery, (my original control was microsofts force feedback joystick)and it ran like a dream.. but the sim now recognises neither the Saitex unit or the original Microsofts force feedback unit.  The Sim appears to function corrrectly via the computer keyboard...I have totally cleared FSX off my D drive, and re-installed the basic FSX ,but it still will not recognise my game joysticks. I am a 70 year old computer illitirate!

Hi Darem,

glad to say that you saved my life 5 years after your post... I just switched to a brand new PC, latest generation after 8 years with the old one, and the saitek yoke did not power up at all in the new PC. Tried everything to no avail. Then I found your post and from the name of the link I understood to look into w10 USB power saving, which was enabled. I just disabled it and voilà the yoke powered on !! I hope this may help other fsimmers as well !!

Many many thanks !

Aldo
