On registry keys for P3D and P3D2

Recommended Posts

After a failed VOXATC update, I was told that the cause was that my 1.4 registry key also pointed to the P3DV2 setup path. No biggie, I can work with the earlier VOXATC version.

But I have never had anything less than P3D 2.0, so obviously, I never uninstalled a 1.4 version.

I am no expert in registry matters. I believe the 1.4 keys are:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wow6432Node\LockheedMartin\P3D

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LockheedMartin\P3D

A FSUIPC installation log also confirms a V 1.4. was found

Questions:

  1. Was these 1.4 keys added by some add-on?
  2. Should I bother removing them if they are not required?
  3. If yes, how should they be removed?

Thank you kindly.
