Even though in the latest beta, I lost 33 percent FPS performance...still...

Recommended Posts

...this is now always the first sim I fire up, and why?  Well...these pictures shot last evening, and this morning over the canyon grottoes, should be enough for an explanation...  BTW, over those grottoes, in .b3, that FPS figure would have stayed at 29 FPS, and not the current 17, that I now get with .b4.  I hope that Ben re-visits the coding in .b3 and brings some, or all of it back in .b5.  He struck gold with it....

Post Edit: I just had another CTD, so far 7, since going from .b3 to .b4

I also wonder, if E-DSF could be implemented (or such coding...) in P3D.x?   I mean...look at the buttes out there in the morning haze...simply stupendous!  E-DSF, is a huge flight simulation advancement, and funny, it came to user's pleasure-to-implement, through the 'fringe sim'...lol. I love it!   B)

I am now running with XPX.40b5 and am glad to report, that all my performance (great performance) seen with .b3 has now been restored in .b5.

Man, am I ever glad to be back at a door-stompin' 30 FPS again...and I knew it was not my system at all...it was something wrong with .b4!!!!  Anyways...that's history...life is good again in .b5

Seriously, it fixed all that went bad running with .b4

.b5 performance is no less than what was had with .b3

I'll make a backup before I fly.  Thought I had a b3, but I had rolled it back to 10.36 to keep a copy of that.

Good news for the XPX community...

Yes, absolutely back up your .b5 when first installed.  If I would have done that with .b3...there would have been 20 less posts...LOL!  .b5 is now safely zipped up and ready to go back to, if need's be...
