Duke V2 issues

Recommended Posts

Few questions to the Duke V2 pros as I just got this last night for P3D - great product but have a few questions

1. VC stuttering while rain drops in the mix real bad shut them off all ok - is there something that can be done about this - we know I have the system to run this - now I know why Microsoft dropped it - to bad as its very cool - dropped down AA and FXAA no FSAA - doesn't matter - stutter fest

2. I only see two light panel switches - I would like the panels off as they seem to bright and have just the gauges lit up as in most aircraft

3. Altitude hold is about 188ft above the designated altitude consistently - I played with trim settings on my hardware but that didnt make a difference

Other than that this is a great Aircraft - sounds are amazing - realair done good lol

Thanks for your help

I don't see 1 and 3. There's only two light switches. I prefer it myself but someone made a mod for darker lights I think... Don't have the link handy just search Duke panel lights or something.

Thanks Ryan - no stutter with vc rain interesting thats good news - just have to figure out why it is so on my rig

No back lit gauges hmm thats not what I wanted to hear

Altitude thing - guess that will work itself out eventually

I agree about the panel lighting in a plane so detailed it should be adjustable, even carenado does adjustable lighting now. I don't have the stutter issue with mine but I'm running the FSX version in p3d right now

ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI.

But do they do VC rain?

(XP10 Carenado versions do) but not their FSX/P3D line

I think it was a design reasoning I can't recall.

Duke V2 or Turbine Duke V2 ?

The piston-engined Duke is NOT sold for P3D. This is probably why. Wait for the official product.

Rich,This's is very interesting as The RealAir Officail site still has The Piston Duke B60 as "Coming Soon" for P3D

http://realairsimulations.com/products.php?page=products

He purchased the Turbine version, not the piston

Yup what Glenn said - the sounds in this are incredible - very happy if I can work out the vc rain stutter

Sorry Ryan - still at work but to fight the traffic now - thanks for the help - will do

No loss of fps here with the raindrops and the duke v2 but that's on FSX/DX10

The Flysimware MU-2 also has raindrops with no frame loss

Thank for the heads up Buddy - have to figure this out as not sure developer will be able to diagnose it, just a thought wonder if precipitfx has something to do with it - have to text that - hope not cant live without that :)

After further investigation if I turn of wide screen to full screen in P3D - stutters are gone but terrain is a blurry mess - unacceptable so caught between a rock and a hard place on this one - fyi ran precipitfx and there was a new update for it
