  1. 1. Does FS2004 Work In Windows 10 For You?

Recommended Posts

Just thought I'd create the post for the big debate. Will FS2004 work in windows 10????? I'm not upgrading until we find out for sure. But everyone please feel free to comment and discuss.

Please answer the pole question to let everyone know if it works for you.

FS9 seems to work just as well as it did with 8.1. I have not tried to install any of the iFLY aircraft that refused to work in 8.1. Will give that a try a little later.

I've read a number of reports on all kinds of games/software and Windows 10 seems to be working very well across the board. iFly seems fine too but there is a report it doesn't if you use disc 4 to run FS.
It's looking good at this stage but I would like to read some reports from people who have done a complete format with a fresh install of Windows 10.
Not sure about FSX, about to head over there now to check things out but if it doesn't work, who cares! haha...joking...kinda...

Are you having any problems switching between windowed and fullscreen mode?

My screen froze when I switched to fullscreen in build 10240 (should be same as RTM) so I switched back to Win7.

If this was to me, haven't upgraded. We have 12 months to get it free so I'm in no rush. I'll probably do it 360 days from now if there haven't been problems. lol

I haven't read any problems about switching between windowed to full causing problems. I did read an issue with a black screen or crash (can't remember exactly) when in full screen and the Alt key is pressed. If this does cause issues means we will have to go to windowed mode to access menus but that report was from only one person. Doesn't mean anything till multiple users report the same thing.
