  1. MSFS excellent for "eye candy" and slow VFR flying. That's how I use it! However, P3dV5.4 is my absolute "go to" simulator. It's absolutely awesome with its incredible addons and just pure enjoyment when flying long distances and ease of operation (especially with the AP). Can't wait to fire up P3d tomorrow. I just flew from Estonia to Frankfurt for real because my wife and I took a vacation to the Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia) and as I was flying into Frankfurt, I noticed that the skyline was incredibly beautiful and it looked exactly the same when I flew into Frankfurt in P3d. Perfect!
  2. I use Chrome Google or Microsoft Edge. It works great for me. Whatever works!
  3. When that first commercial comes on before your requested video, hit the F5 key. Computer only. Mobile devices require an adblocker or something like that. See if that works for you. Stan
  4. This too, is what I hope can someday happen. I will think "positive" with you and many others, I'm sure. LH definitely has the where-with-all to make this happen. I would completely support a brand new platform, and if many others would do it as well, the developers would likely follow.
  5. Looks like the majority of responses to this question are what I expected when I posted this. That's unfortunate, and I would hope that Lockheed Martin is reading this and does something about it.
  6. So, just curious, what is the verdict on V6 of P3d? I'm still using V5.4 very successfully and it's very compatible with just about everything. Is V6 a product still developing, or is it something that still has compatibility issues? I bought it when it first came out but it's residing in "suspended animation" on my X drive. I do want to activate it at some time in the future IF it becomes an improvement over 5.4. I don't seem to see that happening from what I'm reading (not reading) on the forums. I truly believe it should not have been released unless it was more of a threat to MSFS. Maybe V7 will be that...I'm just not sure. Stan
  7. Various regions in ORBX are totally worth it IMHO.
  8. Sounds fantastic.....IF ONLY it works as advertised.
  9. I was wondering if anyone can endorse a program for uninstalling Nvidia drivers OTHER than DDU? I have used DDU in the past and I'm not convinced it is effective, let alone even necessary. Sometimes I let Nvidia remove older drivers automatically by just installing the newer driver, and that seems to work well. However, when reverting to an older driver, I used DDU. It's a little cumbersome in that you have to go into Recovery, Start up settings, restart several times, go into safe mode and then install. I guess I'm just asking if there is a "tried and true" driver uninstaller that is safe and effective and indeed does give a clean slate for installing a brand new Nvidia driver.
  10. No, I do not. We have a travel group in my hometown that arranges many wonderful trips around the world. We've used them several times. However, my wife and I returned yesterday after a 2 hour flight from Estonia to Frankfurt, and about 9 hours from Frankfurt to JFK. Total 11 hours in the air, and then a 1 1/2 hour ride back home. Whew! I'm exhausted and trying to re-establish my normal activity from the time difference. The Baltic States being 6 hours ahead of us here in the U.S. Absolutely loved Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The people were wonderful, and those countries have really become so progressive since about 1991, after the Occupation. Now to get back to some great Flight Simulation activity. Missed it for the last 10 days. Stan
  11. Today, my wife and I are flying to Lithuania, Lativia, and Estonia. Really looking forward to it. Lufthansa from KEWR to Frankfurt, and then on to Lithuania. The Baltic States are in the news a lot lately, so it should be quite interesting for us to be there in person. We have traveled extensively in Europe, and we did get to Gdansk, Poland a few years back, so we were close to the Baltic Sea. We've traveled to Munich (Octoberfest), Berlin, Warsaw, Krakow, Bulgaria, Romania, Ireland, UK, South Africa, Italy, and many trips within the United States. Being retired now makes it so much easier. I still look forward to reading the forum on my iPad over there, but I'll really miss flying P3d and MSFS. Returning in 10 days. Looking forward to any comments on these 3 countries if you've been there. Any tips or advice is always welcome. Stan
  12. Ray, Can't wait to hear how EnvPlus works out for you. Hoping for the best, and then I will dust off my credit card.
  13. I use Cloud Art and I do indeed love what it does for the sim with Active Sky. Yes, I have some blue tint, but I'm going to play "devil's advocate" here. When I fly in person (and I fly quite a bit), I also see the blue haze on the horizon in real life. It isn't always super clear, and the sky does have haze in it almost always. I love EA and have been using it continually for a few years. Without it, P3d looks too bright and quite cartoonish, IMHO. I accept the fact that P3d looks hazy and a little "bluish" with EA on, but I really think it looks more like the REAL thing than with EA off. My opinion, of course, but my LG monitor (IPS, 4K, 60hz) seems to present the world as I think it really looks. Stan ps. I'll be flying to Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia later this month. Having visited Europe many times, I have not visited these Baltic countries, yet. I always wanted to visit Russia, but I guess this will be as close as I can get. I will closely look at the skies.
