That is one of the new options that ATC chooses the best rwy and thus overrides your manual selection. There is a setting in your options to prioritize manual changes over ATC away from my PC right now but it may be a setting in your assistance options iirc

While we had previously revealed a tentative launch date of April 30, we now think an additional week of development time is necessary. This will be the last Sim Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) prior to the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 later this year (but not the final Sim Update for MSFS2020 ever — SU_16 is planned for early 2025), so the team really wants to make sure SU_15 in an excellent state before we release it.

I just got v12. but was makes me nervous are the again updated XBOX and Live Services apps I just saw as well. wondering whether I again have to reset MSFS or delete gameservices manually through task manager. or - big surprise - MS just fixed the login issues?

Which is what version? Classic? had a similar experience in the modern version on my way to EGLL. AP disconnect and THEN the plane started to oscillate, trying to compensate something which resulted in continued AP disconnections. Somehow felt like the trim ran away and caused to high pitch?

giving it a short spin from EGNM to EGLL. Flies nice (as before). There is now the toggle option between classic and modern FMS. and stupid me thought that what we had before is classic ;-). learned this now. besides that, is VNAV supposed to work now? In modern FMS? at least I still cannot activate it.
