Look for OVR Toolkit on Steam. There's good support on the guys Discord channel for setting it up. It worked for me with the G1 and P3D. Though it might be worth checking G2 compatibility.

I agree the sweetspot is an issue with the G2 but I'm wondering if it's related to the cockpit resolution of the Airbus flight model in MSFS2020. I say this as I owned the G1 along with the PMDG NGXU, which has a very high-res cockpit. The view suffered less from the sweetspot issue and was nothing short of stunning IMHO. I have not gone back yet to try the G2 with the NGXU as I'd need to go back to P3D. I'm aware that the lens design was changed between the G1 and G2, I'd expect that the engineering would be improved. Anyone on the NGXU with a G2? Agree with NeilC that the sound from the off-ear headphones of the G2 is incredible. Even with some in-flight music!

Hi guys, don't want to submit a ticket to Ryan with this one as it's clearly something I'm doing wrong. My NGX moves very slowly forward at the gate pre-departure. I'm loading a 'warm and running' NGX to any airport gate. Imperceptible but after 10-15 mins checking charts or prepping the FMC, I'm a good 15 feet forward and about to hit the terminal wall. Yes- my engines are running but at idle and the parking brake is applied. My first guess is my engines- should not be running at this stage?

From just under a years experience with the SB i5 2500K and a reasonable Corsair H70 water cooler, I can't recommend it enough. My rig was built for FSX, I try to keep little else on it. I have a very simple OC to 4GHz coupled to a 3-4 years old graphic card, proving its certainly the processor that has the FSX oomph. FSX and the NGX are very smooth, no major stutters even with high AI traffic and moderately graphically demanding airports. I don't watch the frame rates, you can get obsessed with that. Just look out the window and see how immersed you feel. Hope your i5 gives you as much simming enhancement as mine did.

Hi Bart,You will find it hard to get your current MCP working correctly with the NGX. The NGX is a very complex add on, the Oc MCP a complex piece of kit. Neither were designed with the other in mind.PMDGs current plans for NGX hardware compatibility revolve around creating a specific SDK (Service Developers Kit) which will allow hardware companies like Opencockpits to create programs/scripts to make their equipment fully compatible. At the moment the SDK is on a final hold, according to PMDG, prior to release.Now, for yourself long term and your future hardware, I'd be very suprised if all hardware manufacturers are not eagerly awaiting this SDK for this amazing aircraft, it's going to be in no one's commercial interest NOT to use this SDK to make new and existing hardware work with correctly the NGX.Bottom line: have a little patience, wait on the hardware manufacturers getting hold of the SDK. I think you will be surprised how quickly your cockpit equipment all starts to function with the NGX.(You may want to search the forums to see if anyone has successfully managed a script for the Opencockpits MCP, I have seen this issue raised before.)

+1 I have an i5 2500K @ 4.4Ghz and an older ATI 5750 video card. The NGX runs nice and smooth with the sliders set medium, lots of AI traffic and a moderate amount of scenery. To be honest I did not notice a significant amount of frame difference after the Overclock. I built this rig after a good bit of research and the i5 is THE chip for FSX and the NGX. Back OT....Congratulations PMDG on FSX's finest aircraft imho. I'm very happy with it. Can it be described as a 'game changer'?

I don't have these throttles in particular but have been shopping around and watching various forums/reviews. The common advice on these is to make sure you check all the costs up front including things like Paypal fees, carriage and any taxes. Pretty much good reviews of the hardware generally and the support. We will have to wait and see if they are 'plug and play' with the NGX or need software written around the SDK.

I net purchased a P67 the day the chipset news broke. Cancelled it sharpish! However it was only about 4-5 weeks later when the Gigabyte P-67 (B3 Stepping, the chipset fix) started arriving in Europe. Got mine around 3 weeks ago, so it was fixed and block shipped pretty quickly.

I'm in the same position, building up a rig which will be pretty much dedicated to FSX and the NGX with some cockpit hardware thrown in. From my research the NH-D14 can't be beat as an air cooler, water cooling (non sealed systems are very fiddly) is more suited to overclocking your CPU. The H70 has had decent reviews from what I have read. It's reportedly much better than Corsair's original sealed H50. The bottom line for me is the CPU grunt that FSX requires. You can bet that to get frame rates really kicking, a few more volts will be need to be applied to the CPU. It's Water for me. Stand by for tears when I soak my 1155 mobo..
