  1. Here I am using large 4K TV’s as displays and they are running at 60 hertz. If I limit MSFS to 57-60 ( incl FG ) than I see small stutters now and then, which I do not see when running MSFS at Unlimited. Not using FG and running at 30 fps / Limited is less smooth, especially when banking or making turns. However, 2 displays are connected to the 4090.
  2. Well written. If you are seeing 20 fps ( in your case 25 ) without any long frames and FG doubles that, then you will have a smooth sim. As long as the total FPS is at least 30 ( some say 25 )….
  3. Using IFR mode only with TLOD max at 200 which works very well. I also tried a flight with Dynamic LOD and TLOD max at 250 which also works well stepmax : 5 ).
  4. Omg what did Noel say .., For me FG is a great way to get the sim smoother 😎
  5. Thanks. Then I do not have to try it as I have the latest version installed.
  6. Never checked if VGDS worked at EGGL. Anyone a Gate number where it works so I cab check ? Thanks
  7. If you see 70 with FG on and iit drops to 35 because FG is Off then you might see small micro stutters but no big stutters. It just looks a little less smooth. FG doubles your framerate but does not remove stutters. It makes it a little smoother , that’s all. If you are having long frames than FG won’t make them disappear.
  8. You have set your FPS to a value that you have enough headroom. That is the smart way to do. Even this App cannot create enough headroom if the hardware is not capable of running the sim smooth when the settings too high.
  9. You know that you will lose seeing 3rd party custom made objects like skyscrapers in the far distance. Therefor I use a fixed value of 150 for OLOD ( IFR ).
  10. Here I use TLOD min + : 50 to be sure that I have max performance
  11. Does these changes affect IFR mode too or only VFR mode ( only using IFR mode ) ?
  12. To avoid the fisheye effect you need to zoom in till it looks correct. It has to do with your FOV vs how far you are sitting away from your monitor. The closer you are to the screen the smaller your zoom value can be. The further away you are from your screen the higher the zoom value needs to be.
  13. Regarding IFR flying: is it better to use Sensitivity mode or Tolerance mode, when using a high end pc ( 4090 / 13900k ) icw FG On. I now see fps 70-220+ with FG On.
  14. Here I use a Next Level Racing Motion Platform V3, which is just a seat mover but it adds so much to the immersion. You feel accelerating, braking, banking, climbing, descending, turning.
  15. I really appreciate all your good testing. Myself I only have time during the weekends so all your findings are very welcome.
