  1. Thanks for the answer. For reasons unknown to me prepar3d doesn't recognize the right resolution.
  2. Hi all, I am trying to use a second monitor that has a low resolution 1024x768 (this is actually the monitor of the vrinsight CDU II). Unfortunately, it seems that Prepar3d V2 has a minimum resolution of 1024x1280x32 for the second display. I've tried to edit the config file with: [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680.0.1] Mode=1024x768x32 But prepar3d simply ignores it and reverts back to the original 1024x1280x32. Does anybody know what I should do to have Prepar3d recognize the lower resolution? Thanks p
  3. Thanks for the answer. As everybody only mentioned the range issue for a momnt I thought I was alone with the other EFIS problems.paolo Musso
  4. Hi Everybody, I am having some issues assigning keyboard shortcuts to the EFIS. The problems are:1) I cannot get the plane to memorize any of the assignments (the only way to fix that was to manually edit the shortcut.ini file in the PMDG directory. BTW it wasn't mark as read only). FYI for the autopilot section it worked fine. 2) When I assign a shortcut for the STD altimeter and I press it instead the altimeter switch from inHg to hPA 3) In the CDU there is no shortcut for the terrain button (even though in the shortcut.ini file there is one) If you assign a key to the terrain each time you press it the terrain appears only in the FO DU and not in the Captain. 4) Minum. If you assign a key to the increas/decrease button once again the changes reflects only in the FO DU and not the Captain. Anybody else experinced something similar? Any ideas?Thankspaolo Musso
  5. Given that the idea of building a server machine for FSX is not worthy, I am now debating if I should buy the intel QX9650 or save some money and buy the Q9650.I am actually running an overclocked watercooled system and my intention is to overclock the new system as well.Anybody as any experience with these two cpu with FSX?Thank you.pap
  6. Tim thank you so much for your exhaustive answer.Indeed I mistakenly write the wrong processor type, I meant to write Xeon 5160. As you correctly said I cannot use multiple CPU with the E3130 (while I can with the 5160).Thanks again.pap
  7. I am considering an upgrade of my current computer and I was thinking about a server configuration like this:2 x Intel Xeon E3110 MB ASUS DSEB-DG Dual LGA 771 Intel 5400 Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000GLFS 300GB 10000 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0GbCrucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 FB-DIMM ECC Fully Buffered DDR2 800 I am still debating regarding the GPU.My question is: Is it worthy to build a server machine or a "normal" single processor machine is better? I read an article on a magazine where they use a server machine to run FSX and the experiece was great. Anybody is actually using a Xeon based machine to run FSX.Thank you very much.pap
  8. Jonh, thank you for your answer. As me being harsh I agree with you and I apologise. I used to sign all my e-mails with my firt name initial p (paolo), that's the reason why I disregarded the forum rule.I used to receive quick answers from PMDG team too, but that was long time ago.....Thanks again JonhI will try to figure out why FS9.exe calls for that file.Regards,PAOLO
  9. My first msg got completely ignored by the PMDG team. Hopefully this time some of them will spent five minutes to take a look at my problem.Again, FS9 crashes while I am flying the 747 with any livery. In particular using Filemon I found out that FS9 is looking for a file in the following directory:C:....Flight Simulator 9aircraftPMDG747-400texture.lh.datNow my question is: Should such a file exist in the PMDG747-400 directory?? Thank you very muchp
  10. I did try to reinstall the liveries. But the point is that that file doesn't exist any of the PMDG directories. Thanks anyway for the your suggestion.p
  11. I am experiencing a CTD when I fly the 747. Using Filemon I found out that FS9 looks for a texture file called: "texture.lh.dat". In the directory: "C:...FS9AircraftPMDG747texture.lh.dat" (I am using Lufthansa livery). The same thing happens also using other liveries. (In that case the name of the missing file chages accordingly).Any idea how can I fix it? (I don't have the 737 installed, but I have the 747 Cargo).Thank you very much.p
  12. Problem solved! I updated the MB's bios and now it works.
  13. Hi everybody, recently I am having a really weird problem. I load a situation (or I create it), but after around 7 minutes FS9 starts to reload all the textures (airplane, scenery and so on) every 20 seconds. It looks like when you switch the view and you wait few seconds for the texture to be loaded. The problem is that it does like that, even if you don't switch the view. I tried with some diffrerent catalyst but the problem is still there. My configuration is: AMD FX 57, Asus A8R32 Deluxe, 2 radeon x1800 in crossfire setup.Any idea?Thank you very, much.Pap
  14. Where can I find this package?ThanksPap
