  1. John, First {IN MY CASE)I have my T/Tools exe program sitting on my "DESKTOP' (FOR BETTER OR WORSE)When I decompile the appropriate "traffic bgl file' you will find that all three 'source files' are placed on your desktop separately (in notepad form) - open the airport file in notepad, add VHHX.......save...then go back to T/Tools and 'compile' Trydis,Badbiggles2 (Hugh)
  2. John,http://www.simviation.com/fs2004utilities1.htm'Traffic tools', is on the top of the list - it really works - good luckBadbiggles2 (Hugh)
  3. John,Goto Page 40 on your KAI TAK PDF file - you will find some good reading there???Badbiggles2 (Hugh)
  4. JS Crikey Jim you are right - Clouds were set to 'simple' rather than 'detailed' in Fs9 - How this happened Im damned if I know?????? Thanks :( Badbiggles (Hugh)
  5. JSI have been using ASA with FS9 for over a year now but have struck some trouble - in both Fs9 and ASA - my clouds have gone all nuts - have you experienced anything like this happening???? see attachedHugh j E
  6. KevinAu and Mike TThankyou for the clarification. The simulator did have perhaps an exaggerated turning circle using the pedals - however that didnt matter - I now get the gist of it.The total experience in the sim.. was wonderful as I had the opportunity to compare this to my PMDG 737Thanks fellaBadbiggles
  7. To 737 pilotsRecently had a great experience 'flying' a 737-800 in a simulatorat Darling Harbour, Sydney,AuAfter using up all my nervous energy concentrating on flying between Sydney(YSSY)and Melbourne (YMML) I forgot to clarify whether you can actually steer (or have limited steering capibilities) using the rudder pedals (and not the tiller) on the real aircraft taxing to the lineIn this simulator I was actually steering with the rudder pedals and did not use the tiller????????.I thought the pedals were only used when you had sufficient speed for the rudder to become effective on takeoffComment appreciatedHugh EdwardsBadbiggles
  8. Grant - Adding to your comments.Last Sunday I was fortunate to 'fly' the Boeing 737-800 in a simulator at Darling Harbour' Sydney, Australia. Have flown the PMDG 737 and 747 in Fs9 for sometime.I was absolutely amazed how close to the real thing the PMDG 737 was. What really thrilled me was the fact that I could make sense of all the instrumentation, displays etc before we 'started' cold at Sydney terminal. We flew from Sydney (YSSY) to Melbourne(YMML) had to fly manual to 33000 ft (oh dear) then auto then manual from 20 miles out to runway 16 and then taxi to terminal (phew)Changing flaps, gear etc was a little different to using a mouse.Congratulations PMDGHugh EdwardsBadbiggles:-)

  10. DONT LAUGH - JUST TRY THISIn FS9 Go to SETTINGS/DISPLAY/HARDWARE AND REMOVE THE TICKS FROM'RENDER TO TEXTURE' AND 'TRANSFORM & lIGHTING' AND BINGO THAT TEXTURE MESS MAY DISAPPEARBadbiggles
  11. CRT Owners,Be brave - stick to your CRT's till they blow upMy attached rig is a 21inch and a 19 inch CRT - both Trinitron and terrificHave a nice dayBadbiggles
  12. Blurries & JaggiesThis just may help some frustrated 'pilot' who's PC monitor/monitors has/have just developed a bad case of the blurries and jaggies. For the last few days my 2 screens either went blurry or developed a bad case of the jaggies- you would think you had turned Anti-Alias... off.Re-booted computor - same problem - reinstalled drivers -same problem, etc etc etc I was going to reboot the PC out the window.Solution - I went to the back of my computer set-up and lo and behold I found that the monitor connections had come loose. I tightened everything up and 'bingo' my displays have never looked better.Have a nice day and be happyBadbiggles2
  13. Emile/Davis,I responded to the above- its seems to have gone missingHere in my 2nd go at posting a replyIt was remiss of me not to list my specs..XP Home Pentium 2.8 (HT) Not over clocked - not game1024 Ram (2x matched 512)ATI 9800 Pro VideoAopen AX4SPE MBMon 1 - Refresh 75 hertz - 1024 x 768Mon 2 - Refresh 75 hertz - 1024 x 768Thanks for replies - Maybe misunderstanding with 'chugging' with PMDG 747 - 400 I get reasonable fps of about 18-20 but 'chuggs' around airports - however I must have eye candy switched off - ie no weather or A1Davis - Point taken about 9800 pro - not going to upgrade till next year? Thanks fellasBadbiggles2
  14. Could anyone comment on this query pleasePresently run a Sony 19 inch CRT and a Sony 17 inch CRT trinitron monitor on my ati 9800 pro video card - get quite acceptable quality - frame rates target set at 25 fps and sliders 'generally' set at about halfway. Running PMDG 747-400 makes the setup 'chug' somtimes.Run both monitors at 1024 x 768 x 32I have the chance to pick up a Sony 21 inch tri..CRT monitor. Could the 9800 pro handle the 21inch/19inch combination and get acceptable results as outlined above??????Comments from anyone with experience here would be very much appreciatedHave a good dayBadbiggles2
