  1. What's the funky thing you see? The dirt on the glass? If so, it may be something in the alpha channel in one of the bitmaps. Sadly I don't have this plane, so I can't tell you which one. And if you remove it, it's possible it's calling it from another path. Check in your texture.cfg all the folders it calls.
  2. Ask your friend to go to Control Panel>Devices and Printers. If Windows can see Monect as a controller, it's very probable it will be compatible with FS9.
  3. Since 2 weeks ago, I'm getting this error message every time I close MSFS. I also have MSFS Steam. Which box? The only thing I could click opened the Steam UI.
  4. True. If you want to splurge and haven't yet purchased MSFS, go for the Premium Deluxe version. That, and maybe any utility for managing your control profiles (i.e., FSUIPC, Axis and Ohs or Spad.Next), and FSLTL if you don't want to fly alone (and want some realistic traffic) and you're good to go. But yes, it's more standalone than FS9, FSX or P3D.
  5. While FSL updated their buses for 5.4, what I did was install 5.4, uninstall just the Client and install the 5.3 HF2 Client. How did you finally do?
  6. Thanks, Cpt_Piett. Seeing that you use DX12 and FG, I'm tempted to try again setting a 40 FPS limit in RTSS (yes, just 20 raw FPS). Only one question: how did you manage to get no ground texture bleeding at all?
  7. Thanks for reminding me the default settings. I've messed so much with them that I no longer remembered how to go back to the start.
  8. So, there hasn't been any changes regarding that functionality during 2024, right? I have the beta version, but haven't updated in the last month.
  9. Thanks for your reply. From what I understand from FSHud videos, the balancer is a new one. At least there are some subtle changes to the UI that suggest the balancer was updated. I'll give it a try tonight.
  10. Luckily it was without the Balancer. I was getting my hopes high. The FPS you report are raw or with FG?
  11. Too late for the sale (I purchased it on Day One 😎), but several people on the fence can give it a try. I'll update tonight. Regarding FPS, with these performance improvements, is it finally as good as the latest B1 version?
  12. That would be something to consider buying on day one, after using it for FSX and P3D. Since there's still no official API, I fear any SU/WU can wreck AS and make HiFi run for an update (that word is beginning to be a bad one for me). Let's see what happens. Other than that, I'm looking forward to the PMDG/Fenix WXRs...and to @Ray Proudfoot's reaction 😂
  13. You lucky! After the 2019 eclipse in Córdoba, we have to wait at least until 2187. The day after that I'd be turning 202 😂 Or I can book a trip to somewhere in this list: Solar and Lunar Eclipses Worldwide – Next 10 Years (timeanddate.com)
