  1. Eh I've got enough SAPs (slow word not allowed pistons LOL) - it looks marvelous but I'm ready for something a bit faster 🙂
  2. I need a new one badly. It might be the 2k community addons I'm using hahahah.
  3. If anything that shows their continued commitment to 2020 even after 2024 is released. I'm sure we'll have people who won't get the new sim. I won't be one of them. I want to see pebbles in my rivers!
  4. We're back to your regularly scheduled program with a gorgeous flight from Sutton on Rogue (0OR8 new from Orbx), a private strip with lovely surrounds, to the far southwest corner of Oregon at Brookings (KBOK). Bullfrogsim has done a stunning freeware rendition I hope everyone will pick up: https://flightsim.to/file/73283/kbok-brookings-state-airport Drone view reveals all - Sutton is a 2500 x 75 ft grass strip situated just north of Medford Rogue Valley (nearest large airport KMFR) Untitled-2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Basically one direction for takeoffs and one for landing with the grading... 5. There's no canopy - it's just a model for painting.
  6. Is it possible it's just a bad 4090? I've known a few people with screwed up 4090s now.
  7. The only thing I really get is the occasional flicker from my monitor, especially if I tab over to my second non gysnc monitor. It used to flicker quite badly (the main MSFS monitor) when I tabbed out or the screen focused on the 2nd monitor. But I think a recent SU along with new nvidia drivers fixed that. In my experience the artifacts tend to happen when the actual FPS drops and the AI tries to generate the new frame... if I have like 30+ actual fps, frame gen works very well. But when I go lower (and I do haha - eye candy!!) I definitely get some flickers here and there.
  8. With the paint kit that SWS has done, painting in 2D is still possible with this amazing bird. Typically most new addons need 3d like blender or substance... But SWS has made it possible to still paint in 2D. Here's a little fancy red one I've just finished up (a render from substance of course) finalrender by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr
  9. What is an artifact? I have a 4080 and don't really see anything unusual.
  10. I paid a one time fee via Steam for 150. It's 200 now though ugh. You get product updates for the year you own it. It still works after the year but no more updates. You can use Blender as a free alternative. If you get back into painting or are new to 3d we have a small discord channel where you can get help. Otherwise I highly recommend starting with the C208 'air biscuit' repaint tutorial in blender.
  11. Thanks! It's from MoreRightRudder Mike - before he took his down. I'm not sure where they're hosted now. Used to be a link in the WT Discord but I can't find it.
  12. This is about the closest you'll get to me flying an airlner in the sim hehe. I've been known to fly an actual airline once in a blue moon. I also don't like the typical big airport to big airport so I'm doing a private BBJ flight from Rockford IL to Queens (LaGuardia) NY. The route is KRFD ETG MIP4 KLGA at FL410 - did about 440 KTAS with a nice tailwind nearing 500 knots. Hope you enjoy these fancy schmancy "airliner-ish" shots 🙂 Parked at the SW corner we'll load via the stairs Untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Up and away leaving this predominantly cargo hub Untitled-2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-3 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr This is KRFD by Xwind Untitled-4 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr View of Lake Michigan and the Windy City in the distance Untitled-7 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Climbing into the upper flight levels as we pass the Orchard Untitled-8 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Climbing through opposite direction traffic... can be a difficult part of the ATC job... as closure rates are upwards of 15 miles a minute Untitled-9 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Detroit on the left, Toledo on the right Untitled-11 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Cleveland OH and Burke Lakefront CLE/BKL Untitled-12 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr I really like this pic approaching the Allegheny Mountains - I'm a bit north of that so in the areas of Altoona, Phillipsburg, Harrisburg PA etc Untitled-14 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Turning on the STAR as we continue descent - I always wonder where everyone else is going... 13. Ditto here. Flying with PG around 1000-3000 ft agl is where its at. Looks ok in VR though, a little more melty due to my lowered settings.. In 2D it's lovely though.
  14. 40 USD includes a full cockpit which looks pretty good. This looks comparable to Carenado level product - not a bad thing if you're looking to buzz the skies with a classic C130. edit: I don't see anything about sounds... so they're probably using king air sounds which wouldn't be a good fit. https://captainsim.net/products/m130/m133/
