NEW EYE TRACKER
Stratocruiser1 replied to Stratocruiser1's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Yes. That's it. Beam Eye Tracker. Thanks. -
Has anyone seen an ad for a new eye/head tracker for the sim? It popped up in my Facebook, but now I cant find it. It uses any type of camara you may have on your monitor already and is very inexpensive. Anyone have a link to it? Thanks

Time of update 16
Stratocruiser1 replied to Stratocruiser1's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
That does not sound good. -
Does anyone know what time today update 16 will be available? I am in Eastern US time zone.

I may be able to help with the information of old VOR and NDB frequencies and locations as well as old, published routes as I have two large, spiral, wire bound books from DESKTOP WINGS published in 1998. One is titled AVIATION TOPOGRAPHIC ATLAS, and has all the published World Aeronautical Charts (WAC's) for the lower 48 US States, Baja Mexico, and the Bahasa Islands. The other is titled IFR AERONAUTICAL CHARTS and has all the LOW ALTITUDE ENROUTE CHARTS for the lower 48 US States. They both cover the lower 48 US States plus Baja and the Bahamas. They are 10" X 10". They are very detailed reproductions of all charts in use of that date and show all navigation aids. They also have many of the country's larger airports in larger formats on single pages. There NO Approach Plates, however. So, for example, you want to know if there was an NDB at or near a specified city, I can look it up and give you a location and the frequency that it was. It would be an interesting project to undertake.

I Have A Mod Request
Stratocruiser1 replied to Stratocruiser1's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Bummer. Well, I will just have to use it as is. It does have ADF, but there are not many NDBs still in service. I am from the old school and prefer steam gauges over the glass cockpits, and don't use GPS if I can help it. Did all my flying in C-119 and C-97 aircraft, along with a Piper Tri Pacer way before GPS. -
I just bought the Carenado Cessna T207A Stationair from the MarketPlace in MSFS. It is a good looking and flying plane, but it only has one NAV Radio. (NAV 1) Most planes have two including all my other default Cessna and addon Cessnas. I thought this might be a mistake, so I contacted Carenado and they confirmed there is only one NAV Radio in this plane. I would love for someone who has the skills (I have none) to come up with a mod adding the second radio, NAV2, to the plane. I am guessing the aircraft and panel cfg files have to be modified and the view of the panel changed somewhat to accommodate a second CDI gauge. Would anyone who also owns this plane and has the knowledge to do so be willing to do this? Thanks

Cessna 207 radios
Stratocruiser1 replied to Stratocruiser1's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Yes, I too learned that way, but it would be nice to have the second one in this plane especially since the Carenado Cessna 172 has two. -
MSFS Gamebar options.

Don't call me Shirley and I don't know what a game bar is or where to find it or what it does. Thanks -
Cessna 207 radios
Stratocruiser1 replied to Stratocruiser1's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
This may be the only Cessna Coranado put out with just one NAV radio. I am disappointed. Maybe someone will make a mod adding the second one? -
I just bought the Cessna 207 from the MarketPlace. I can only find NAV Radio 1 and not 2. Is there only one NAV radio in this panel? Example the 172 has two. Thanks

I fly the DC-3 and the RETRO panel using the Duckworths mod for the DC-3 and am having trouble using the auto pilot. It works fine in HEADING and APPROACH and ALTITUDE HOLD, and VERTICLE SPEED mode, but I can't seem to get it to work in NAV mode. I have searched but can't find a good video to show how to use it in English. Does anyone know of one? Thanks

STARTUP GLOBE STUCK
Stratocruiser1 replied to Stratocruiser1's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Thanks for your reply. This did not happen after the last MSFS update a few days ago, but happened after I updated my Nvidia driver. Strange. -
STARTUP GLOBE STUCK
Stratocruiser1 replied to Stratocruiser1's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Found the problem. Searched using BING. Somehow the Mouse settings had changed. Reset Mouse to DEFAULT and problem solved. Thanks
