Imagine if this was simulated though. Your navdata is outdated as you forgot to update it before the flight (like I always do) , so instead of exiting the sim, updating and restarting the sim, you just go here, select which FMC you want to update and it downloads the latest navdata via navigraph plug in or whatever and it updates while the sim is still running.

Yeah it's not perfect in the sim. On another note, maybe it's just me but it seems "level off" callout along with showing a green line on the VSI above/below 0 would lead to more confusion? Maybe an increase/decrease climb/descent would have been better. I guess I can see where "adjust vertical speed" without aurally announcing which direction to adjust to may lead to the misunderstanding of the RA even though it gives you visual cues. But the experts have spoken.

I don't suppose this callout is available yet in pmdg planes is it?

If you are hand flying the 737 and the FD is tracking the LOC and G/S in APP mode then the autothrottle will automatically retard thrust at around 50ft or so, at least that's what PMDG has simulated. Although as Marc said, it most likely isnt a recommended practice.

A tip for the OP, to avoid being flamed by certain people, try not to make your post seem so assertive especially if you don't have data to back up your claim. Write it more like a "maybe take a look at this? What do you guys think?" kind of vibe

Hi, FSX version of FS2Crew has been working great since the day of release when i bought it. But in the true nature of the computer, somehow somewhere along the line something gets messed up with no perceivable changes made by me. i keep getting a CTD whenever I try to load the voice control version of FS2Crew. The button control panel comes up, but every time i switch over to the voice version, the sim CTD. I've checked the event viewer and these files seem to be the problem. Any idea on how i can replace/repair these files? Windows cannot access the file C:\Users\Flight\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Speech\Files\MSASR\SP_80199F8374C644B3BD2A0847680D2D1B.dat for one of the following reasons: there is a problem with the network connection, the disk that the file is stored on, or the storage drivers installed on this computer; or the disk is missing. I'm not sure if this would make a difference but did you first tell the FO what the start sequence would be?
