  1. The O'Hare Tower is definitely staffed 24 hours a day.
  2. I can't wait to see it in full colors in a day or two.
  3. Ridiculous to put it lightly ... I can't even comprehend why VATSIM would be targeted by anyone as a network to compromise. It's plain sick.
  4. I'm not quite sure what is going on or who is doing what with the VATSIM network and its forums, but something has definitely happened. Right now the forums look like this - http://forums.vatsim.net/ and a link sends you to a Twitter account claiming responsibility ... https://twitter.com/Anon_Juke and other VATSIM users on Twitter have uploaded some strange screenshots ... https://twitter.com/Hozo22/status/357676859481272320/photo/1 Anyone know what's going on?

... going for $165,000,000.00! I think it's close now. I remember with the NGX it was only a few weeks till release once the product appeared on the ecommerce page. http://www.precisionmanuals.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=99&idcategory=15
  7. Reporting back after testing some AA settings with an ATI 6700 series card and CCC... I added the MultiSamplesPerPixel=8 line under the graphics section of the fsx.cfg and then went to CCC. As stated in your blog post, I set the AA mode to "Enhance application settings." I left everything else as CCC default except for the AA mode slider. I moved it to super-sample AA and pressed apply. Upon loading up FSX and then a flight. Unfortunately I found my AA settings to be the same as they looked before. I used the VC of the RA Lancair Legacy as a control test and nothing looked different. The bottom switches' text is unreadable due to AA, as well as some of the gauges. The RXP GNS 530 is completely unreadable in the VC as well unless I zoom in or pop up the 2D. Am I doing something wrong? I'd like to continue trying to get the ATI AA to work in DX10 FSX before falling back to DX9. Thanks! Here is a picture of my settings for reference:
  8. I like the new AI lights, but is that with bloom enabled?
  9. Thanks for the heads up. I saw your post on your site just now and will have a go at experimenting a little with your settings tomorrow. Thanks for the explanation Paul! I like the notion that DX10 FSX should be treated like a new sim. I'm going to experiment a little with Steve's settings and research tomorrow and will report back. Feel free to share any of your findings too! By the way, I'm running on an ATI Radeon HD 6700 Series 1GB card.
  10. Anyone able to get external AA to work with an ATI card? I find that the default DX10 AA isn't sharp enough and if there isn't a way to sharpen it up a little, I'll switch back to DX9.
  11. Mr. Howell, Your shot looks fantastic and I am setting up the fix as I type, but I am wondering if you got external AA to work and how? By just flipping the DX10 switch on, the in game AA looks better but it could still be refined by some more antialiasing. Your shot looks really sharp.
  12. What about the ER variants? Sent from my YP-G70 using Tapatalk 2
  13. GA is really coming into its own now with fantastic offering from RealAir and A2A now (not to mention Carenado). I'm excited! The Starfighter looked like a beast. Can't wait to fly that and the F-4.
  14. I'd really suggest that you get it. Just today I flew to a bunch of interesting strips all over PNW. My base is at KHQM. I started out with the "hard" difficulty. I sold the Cessna 172 that came with it, and bought my Lancair. Unfortunately this caused me to go into debt. But after flying about eight jobs, I'm in the green. I flew into a really tight grass strip under the Seattle class B and the Paine Field class C. It was really fun managing the airspace and landing at a one-way-in-one-way-out strip. I also flew to Sequiam Valley just north of the Olympic mountains. It was a lot of fun dodging peaks using the RXP 530. It's taking me all over PNW to interesting strips. I think I'll make my way up to Canada soon for some jobs or maybe buy a C185 for bush strips. It's a great discovery tool for fun airfields.
  15. May I suggest using Skyvector charts? http://skyvector.com/ Just load up a sectional and right-click anywhere and you have the LatLong coordinates to any point in the same format that the 530 uses - DMS.
