  1. Problem solved. I found an old Hong Kong landclass file which conflicted with 9Dragons. Deactivated it and everything is now normal. Colin B
  2. I re-installed 9Dragons V2 Kai Tak on a new hard drive. It works Ok but I have land squares where there should be water although the islands appear surrounded by water within the land squares. I've re-installed twice but with the same problem. I installed Version 1 but that too gives the same presentation. It must be something wrong with my FS9 installation on Win7 64bit but everything else is Ok. All ideas and suggestions welcomed, please. Colin B
  3. I tried a backup scenery.cfg, and it appears to be Ok now. It's collecting all the airports again in All Scenery and shows them normally. I think there may be a problem with FS9 which is causing the corruption. It's just crashed and automatically has applied a compatibility setting. It doesn't seem too happy running in Windows 7 64 bit. Thanks for the suggestions. Colin B
  4. I've developed a problem with Afcad. When I open it, I do not have the full list of airfields throughout the world as I used to. It only shows the one file I have in Add-On Scenery, ie USA/Washington/Seattle, a revised afcad downloaded previously. The File List only shows this file, and the File index also only shows that one. I downloaded a new copy of Afcad and installed it but it gives the same result. I tried an installation on an old laptop, and that collected all the airports and showed them all in the index and file list. I tried copying those new, complete files to my usual computer, but when tried, Afcad overwrote the files with just the 1 Seattle Add-on scenery entry again. I had been trying to install Congo airports FZAA and FZAB and FCBB. 2 worked Ok, but FZAA was very blurred so I gave up and deleted them all, but I suspect it has somehow corrupted my FS9 installation. I can still use Afcad From Specific File selection, the problem is just with From All Scenery, it doesn't collect All Scenery. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks. Colin B
  5. I've run everything as administrator, tried compatibilities, all on a virgin install, but nothing has worked. It would be appreciated if you could show your HKLM key. Colin B
  6. Thanks. I did find that via google hence I found the correct location for the reg key. Problem is, there was no EXE path string to modify, only (Default) and FIRSTRUN. I tried modifying the default with the correct path on my computer but that had no effect. Do you, (or anyone else) know the entry for the EXE path string so that I can add it to the registry key? The Flight1 repair tool doesn't show it. Colin B
  7. Unfortunately it didn't work but thanks for trying. Colin B
  8. I've re-installed FS9 after changing hard drives and changing to Win7 64 bit. I now have 2 SSDs and 1 TB HDD. I have done a complete re-install of FS9 from discs and run it 2 or 3 times with default C172 at Seattle to check it. It takes a lot longer to start which seems odd since I'm now using SSDs and my cursor arrow turns black if I touch the kneeboard, but returns to normal without it. I'm now running in XP SP3 compatibility mode. I've tried to apply the 9.1 update but I get Error 34 and it wont run. I've tried as many fixes as I could find here and some from Google but nothing works. The Flight 1 registry repair tool doesn't help. When I check the registry entry it puts the key in HKCU although it says it's put it in HKLM so I've edited the repair tool to put it where it says,( HKLM). There are only 2 entries for the FS9.0 key, ..default and first run. There is no pointer to FS9.EXE. Does anyone know the correct Key content and placement? Or does anyone know anything more to try. I've already re-installed twice from discs. A copy of my original install was tried first using Wobbie's method posted here a while ago but it didn't run well at all. The only other change has been the addition of 6 more GB of RAM, now up to 8. Colin B
  9. But don't they end up in pieces or do you prefer broken biscuits? 🙂 Colin B
  10. 254/? shows the wind direction it's blowing FROM, therefore you should be using runway 26 to land INTO the wind. Your G/S and therefore your rate of descent would be higher than it should be if you used the correct runway. Unless forced by ATC, you should pick a runway with a headwind component to reduce G/S, rate of descent and landing distance if possible. C.Brown
  11. Look in Disc2, MSGames.cab, Beech_Baron.cab. Not sure if there are other places so try that first. You can get directory of FS9 discs here in the library, for MS Excel. It's...fs9cddir.zip ColinB
  12. The problem was the Scenery.cfg. I have several to cover different areas and made a new one to test a couple of sceneries on their own. You were right. I had missed out a default scenery entry. Once corrected, everything is back to normal. Thank you very much for the pointer. The last thing I wanted to do was re-install everything. It's amazing what one missing entry will do! Thank you again. Colin B
  13. I appear to have lost most of the default airports and gained a mass of autogen trees and old buildings. I've tried changing seasons without it helping. It seems to be on most continents. When I go to "Go to Airport", there is only a choice of a handful of airports, eg. 42 for the whole of Canada, 46 for UK, etc. The only recent additions have been a couple of AIA a/c for traffic. Add-on scenery seems to work ok. World /scenery/asia etc. still seems to have all the APxxxx files they always had. If I use JABBGL, I can find all the airports which don't show up in "Go to Airport" which seems to confirm that all the APxxxx files are still there and intact. I can't think of any texture file changes apart from the AIA traffic which i thought shouldn't affect scenery. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks. Colin B
  14. I've done a search for FinneyGround_Vert_Logisitics.bgl and I can't find it on my system. My Scenery Object Library folder has 1.39 Gb in it as I have downloaded lots of what's available over the last few years. When I installed KPDX 2010, I had no missing textures anywhere in the scenery, so I didn't check for extra library files required. Loading up again, I now have at C17, 2 trucks with "Old Dutch Potato Chips" logo; at C13,truck with red cab/grey body; east of threshold of runway 28L, row of 10 trucks, 5 red/grey and 5 white/white with "Landmark" logo. At E1/E2 area, trucks white/white with "Olympic Yogurt" logo. Fuel trucks have "Coulson Pacific" logo. There are what seems like dozens of these assorted trucks around the scenery as you would find at an airport of this size. All these trucks are there on each loading but textures sometimes vary. I never bothered about the different logos varying , because it all looks so realistic with so much differing apron clutter. So, what do you experts make of that? 🙂 Colin B
  15. You must be missing some object library files I mentioned above, ( in the PDF file). Those 2 vehicles at Gate C17 show up as red cabs with grey bodies and do not have logos like the catering trucks. There are dozens of trucks, cars and apron vehicles but all have textures. It is extremely well populated and looks very realistic compared with most other sceneries and Sidney Schwartz & Peter Ham deserve a lot of thanks for producing it for us FS9ers. Colin B
