  1. Both of you need the same simulator and version. Connection via LAN requires your local ip address that is assigned by your DHCP server. Not the global ip given by your ISP - unless you're planning on connecting globally.
  2. Okie dokie. No probs. Thanks.
  3. Hello. I cannot access your ticket system. http://support.precisionmanuals.com I'm greeted by a the following error message: Page http://support.precisionmanuals.com/frmError.aspx?nullreferrer=true Message The page or resource that you are accessing is unavailable or an error has occurred. 4. Can you confirm the port is open via this software. https://portforward.com/help/portcheck.htm It's really the only way to test UDP. If the port is reported as open via that software. Then your problem is your firewall. It will be more and likely an inbound issue. This guide will show you how to add the firewall rule for the default windows FW. If you're using a third party firewall this process will be different. But the method will be the same. Make sure this is done for both outbound & inbound FW rules. http://desk-pilot.com/Download/fw_guide.png The message that is displayed on the free edition "Attempt Failed". Means the client cannot connect to the server and that the client couldn't receive the connection packet sent from the server. 4: Did you put the IP Address in the IP: Entry field? If you did, you may be experiencing the bug with the "IP: Entry Field". This bug may also be happening with the password input field. To fix the above issue with the free version. Open the ClientSettings.ini file located in the Setting folder. Manually edit the ServerIP = "PUT SERVERS IP HERE" and ServerPassword = "PUT SERVERS PASS HERE". Now when you start desk pilot it will automatically load the file and fills out the input fields.
  5. Hi all. We will be updating DP Professional within the next few months. Product Update: The update will contain bug fixes and most importantly the PMDG 747-v2 will be added to the product as promised. We have decided to add the 747-v2 as a multi-part update. This update will also grant beta access to all customers hence the multi-part update. Beta access will be automatic and all you will need to do is enable the 747 via the servers settings interface. P3D Compatibility: We tested it quite awhile ago, it should be compatible by default. - Install the included SimConnect.msi located in the "Desk Pilot Professional\Bin\FSX Not Installed" folder and you should be fine. Let us know if you're having any issues with P3D. You have to load in the default aircraft first and then host the session with the PMDG aircraft. Start DP after both users simulators are loaded and connected. DP Lobby System: This will be included after the final 747v2 beta update. This will also be added as a multi-part update with early beta access. Single player Compatibility: Some of you have asked about the ability to use Desk Pilot in FSX's single player mode. After adding the PMDG 747-v2 we look into it - As this requires a separate project.
  6. Hi, The CDU is synced via the pms gauge while in cdu mode and menu items for the 737 NGX can now be assigned to key assignments. The key assignments are bi-directional - PF & PM can use them at the same time. The servers GUI, pilot management system and key assignments can be used to exchange switch control. You can offload the whole system to the client or server and only fly the aircraft if you wish. FSX Multiplayer is still required, many people have enquired about syncing the aircraft in a single player session. We will investigate the possibility but can't guarantee it.
  7. Price on that link is in AUD. Try GBP/US/EUR. 1: Should be available at sim market shortly. 2: P3D Compatibility will be automatic and seamless. 3: Cross-platform (FSX-P3D) will be under investigation upon development. We're not quite sure because we don't have a copy of P3D or any PMDG Simulations P3D aircraft at the moment. It's going to be quite an expense over two dev machines.
  8. Hi, The LAN side of multiplayer can be connected to the internet via port forwarding (direct connect) and/or Hamachi for a LAN simulation.
  9. Hi, If you're familiar with setting up the free edition then it should be a breeze. 1: Connect to the buddy is it easy and straight forward or you have to deal with many nightmare like router firewall anti virus ect? We can assist with firewall/router setup if required. You may want to try the free edition first. 2: There will be possibility to sync between different platform FSX-P3D? Maybe, will know after p3d development has started. 3: When you said sync, what exactly on the two platform is shared? Two entire aircrafts and everything required to fly them. 4: Do we have to load the same flightplan or just one load and the other just sync ? Both need the same flight plan. There will be a flight plan retrieval feature added to the first major update. 5: If both of us use active sky next is it shared? No. We do provide a method for weather developers to sync their software using our SDK. For now just manually update the weather on both simulators. 6: If there is some difference between scenery could be a problem ? Nope. Should be fine. 7: When connect to vatsim and use vpilot shall we use the method as the example below? Yup, just follow any basic ivao/vatsim multi-crew tutorials. Pilot: Connect as JBU123 in normal mode. Co-pilot: Connect as JBU123A in observer mode.
  10. Yup, It's out now! http://www.flightsimstore.com/product_info.php?products_id=3704
  11. Not sure. Depends on the kind of issues we come across and how long it takes to solve said issues.
  12. We will be focusing on P3D after release.
  13. Introduction Our goal is to provide a reliable shared cockpit solution for all of your favourite complex aircraft in one exclusive product. Desk Pilot is capable of syncing everything in the flight deck from switches to yokes and everything in between. You will be able to conduct online multi crew flights with your friends from across the globe. Friends are busy? Try our lobby feature! You can find and connect to other likeminded pilots with a click of a button. The lobby is currently undergoing changes and is unavailable. The current build supports Microsoft Flight Simulator X, PMDG Simulations Boeing 737 NGX and the PMDG Simulations Boeing 777X. P3D Functionality will be added to the product at later date. It will be automatic and free. Functionality with other aircraft from PMDG Simulations and/or other complex aircraft will included with major updates provided via our update servers. You can also download the updates from your online store. Our smart phone application can connect straight to Desk Pilot. You can change pilot roles and settings with a touch of a finger. Android & iOS. The smart phone application will be released at a later date. Feeling lucky? Try out GREMLIN mode and see if you can endure randomized components being switched on/off! Desk Pilot Management System (PMS) This is one of the new additions to professional edition. You can access the core features and change settings while in flight! Without the need to leave the simulator. Now you may notice that the PMS looks like an aircraft CDU? That's because it is! See that button at the bottom labelled "Mode"? This will toggle between aircraft CDU mode and the PMS. This is required if you'd like to sync your CDUs button presses in certain third party aircraft. At the moment it's compatible, required with the PMDG Simulations 737 NGX and the PMDG Simulations 777X. The pilot management system will automatically change its appearance and functionality to suit the selected aircraft. The image below is of the pilot management system in PMDG Simulations 777X mode. To learn how to use the pilot management system consult the manual and/or video documentation after release. Desk Pilot Configuration Another new addition. This allows you to quickly change settings, key assignments and other features. Desk Pilot Professional is a multi aircraft product that will evolve over time and only get better! You will only need to purchase one licence, all updates and aircraft addition will be free for licenced users.
