  1. Going to the library/manage and add desktop shortcut works perfectly. Thank you for that. I had it once before and was trying to re-create it and always got all the steam advertisments, etc. Much appreciated Doug
  2. When I start from a shortcut for the Fs2020 exe, I ALWAYS get the safe mode prompt. When I go to steam and start from there, it never happens.
  3. We have multiple locations (water-runway airports) in single packages at RTMM. Example: Tongass Docks A, 8 locations in a single package. We can use the new helipad object successfully at the first dock (TF01) and it works as it should, rejecting fixed wing aircraft, accepting helicopters, etc. However, when we attempt to put in a helipad at the second dock (TF02), the new helipad is basically inactive and starts any aircraft out on the water runway. This would tend to say you cannot put multiple helipads into a package containing multiple airports. Then I created a test scenery location where I put a land based and water based airport near each other, multiple airports same package. I successfully put a helipad at each and both work as expected. (TEST PACKAGE). Is there a some programming trick we could use (maybe using internal groups?) to have multiple airports within a scenery package each with their own helipad. I can provide source code if requested.
  4. Yep, we are changing things all the time (like everybody else) trying to keep up with the quickly moving events. So we fixed it and I changed the home page ... you were correct, it did say that, and it was correct "then" ... but alas, the times make us update things! 🙂 Doug

  6. How do you turn the Morse on and off (in a 310r)? I cannot hear it at all, perhaps it is "low volume" but it seems "off" to me.
  7. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the new FS2020 Web Page set from RTMM. There are not "thousands of things" to download anymore. The Special Object Library for RTMM comes down to you with one click in about 30 seconds. Each cabin group is one click (there are now 3). With one click you get 11 new Sea Plane Bases that are in the cabin group areas. Four clicks/four mods and you have everything except New Eddystone Rock, which is only another one click away. There is more than cabin placement to making RTMM work in FS2020. We have found many (almost half) of the lakes the cabins are situated upon are simply missing (dry lake beds). So we have not only put in the cabin, we have had to put in the whole lake upon which it was situated. The geography is "close" but not nearly as exact as P3D in the RTMM area. Often we are having to do terraforming to put in a location. (For Wilson View cabin, I literally had to move half a mountain to make the location work as it does in real life.) Our locations, this time, will all be REAL, not fictional as many were in FSX/P3D RTMM. The only exception is Misty's Place which is our "home base." But everything else has a LINK on the WayPoint table to the real world, Wikipedia, SkyVector, etc. If we can't link it, we don't put it in. If you want to get a peek of what the SPB's are going to look like, check this RTMM Forum Thread: https://forum.mistymoorings.com/index.php?topic=5353.0 If you would like to see the some of the cabins, check this thread: https://forum.mistymoorings.com/index.php?topic=5337.0 Those plus Robert's Video (previously posted here) should give you a fairly good idea of what is coming for you as FREEWARE on July 6th. We look forward to you joining us at "virtual" Misty's Place for free "virtual" beer to discuss the "REAL" world of the RTMM area. Now you too can RETURN to Misty Moorings. Doug/RTMM
  8. My Skylark's buttons don't work. I lost the special livery I had for it. The Cub Amphibian is now "gone". Telling me things are still "installed" when they obviously are not is a bit aggravating. So, where to start to get this thing running correctly again? Doug
  9. OK, I found that little black bar ... top left of the MF2020 screen (I'll be darned!). The FPS in it is turned off. I turned it on just to see what would happen, and got a very colorful FPS display ... pretty neat. Then I turned it off. So the little green number doesn't seem to be coming from that. In Steam, i have the gam FPS turned off ... but again wouldn't have known with out Aktorstyl's comment. So that is checked. It sure acts like a frame rate and the numbers are about what I would expect for FPS. But the number doesn't change, it overwrites itself. That's why it is so hard to see. But when I first start up (the first 10 seconds) the number is very clear and is about 30 ... then it gets overwritten. It only shows in that External Camera view, doesn't show in the cockpit view. And sometimes it can be in a different position, but I think that is because I'm swinging the camera around. This isn't a "big deal" ... but makes be curious. Appreciate the comments ... a great way to learn this sim is listen to you folks! Thank you. Doug
  10. OK, THANK YOU!!! For all the great information. "Flying in a Cessna" ... that was a VERY helpful explanation and now I better understand the process of what is happening. I solved the problem using JoeC63 ... I turned that gyro off and the "notification" has not returned. (Now I'll probably wind up in Egypt instead of Newark! 🙂 Thanks everyone! Doug
  11. I’m not a pilot. So tell me, when the D key is pressed, what is supposed to be going on? How would I manually do it, not using the D key? (Does that sync heading have anything to do with it?)
  12. OK, thank you. When I open that Developer page, there is nothing on it ... I can only turn it off and on. Using "steam" wonder if something got lost in the download?
  13. I should have mentioned, I'm seeing it in the 152 and the 172. Haven't tried the others yet.
  14. Lotharen, have you got "STEAM" ... I've not used steam before, would there be a difference?
