  1. Which other flight simulators allow to fly in different eras (Roaring Thirties, war time or retro sixties) with adequate environments)? Let me know. Bernard
  2. This is done with AFX of Flight1. ] With its interface it allows to get a WYSIWYG mode and to handle very easy Afcad. Even to create them in middle of nowhere! Bernard
  3. Thanks Chris. I will give a try. Meanwhile I downloaded all Terry Boissel's FSX RAF airfields and converted the ADE files for FS9. I intend to install these without any objects. I'm running CalCassic, and most of these airfields where certainly still visible end Fifties / beginning Sixties. At least they would be some suitable landmarks without any function. Bernard
  4. What do you mean by "my" Croft Farm X5XR? Did you a scenery of this airfield? Bernard
  5. Glad that most of the files are linked with this site here! Bernard
  6. There have been done several successful conversions on other websites. Bernard
  7. It's a fact, that default ADE cannot been modified. Not as original file, but saved as new file with the same or other name and ICAO code. Using the same denominations will only work if the new ADE is larger than the default one. It's a question of priority. Bernard
  8. Obvisouly I'm a rare exception - had never any issue! Bernard
  9. I strongly would suggest to backup FS9.cfg too and paste it to its initial folder after first restart of FS9. You might have changed some settings, and it could be quite anoying to loose them. Benard
  10. Maybe it would be of a better help while knowing which airport is concerned.
  11. As soon as you modify a default Afcad, you have to save it as new Afcad. But you mention an "Addon Afcad". Mostly those are bigger files and have therefore a higher priority. Why didn't you modified this one? Bernard
  12. It's the 1961 Paris Air Show. All planes are static AI with an Afcad for each ensuring to be placed as they really where.. Bernard
  13. Why they prefer? I can't talk for all FS9 simmers, but in my case, the answer is very simple. As long as we can't see people doing things with other sims what still could be done with FS9, there is no need to change. So I'm patiently waiting to see equal creations from normal simmers - not professional developers. Bernard
  14. Just because such things still are possible. And furthermore together with fun: Bernard
  15. There are too many things which never could be done with newer and newest flight simulators. Bernard
