  1. Yes. It was compiled with P3Dv2 tools and the materials were reworked as well. You will CTD FSX if you try to use the P3Dv2 version in it. There is a single P3Dv2 License as well. If you go to the single license product, at the bottom you have to choose between FSX or P3Dv2. The bundle option was created because there are people who want to use the aircraft in both FSX and P3Dv2. It would be unfair for them to purchase the same aircraft two times just to have both versions. This way they can have both at a discount.
  2. Thanks for your interest in our aircraft. Yes, the metro for P3Dv2 is a native version not a port. The aircraft is completely incompatible with either FSX or P3Dv1.x.
  3. Well right there you have saved $154 (the $99 custom Autogen and $55 Clouds themes) with your $199 purchase.
  4. I don't know if anybody has replied this before. The $9.99 is the developer's license. It gives you a 2 computer license key. Also you get all upgrades, including major version upgrades free of charge. I opened my account and found Prepar3D v 2.0 Professional waiting for me and ready for download. The $59.99 version is the Academic License. Functionally speaking they are the same, but you only get license for 1 computer and only minor upgrades are free (2.0 to 2.x but not 2.x to 3.0). You also have a small watermark in the upper left corner. The $199.99 version is the Professional License. It can be used on one computer only and has the same upgrades policy of the Academic License. There is no watermark.
  5. Why don't you post this issue in the Offical LM Prepar3D Forum? I bet there will be a developer that can help you and if it is a bona fide bug it will get squashed really fast.
  6. It gives you the weapons package and with it the ability to convert Prepar3D from a GA Sim to a Combat Sim. On the surface they are very much alike, but if you had read the SDK you can see that Prepar3d's version has more depth in it and of course it has a better integration with the core sim. From a coder point of view there are a small amount of effective ways to add weapons and VRS found the most logical solution. LM just followed the same path but did stuff their own way. It helps a lot when you have the source code for the core sim.
  7. I have a Radeon HD 6800 with 1024 MBytes RAM. So far so good but I do have some FPS issues when enabling full shadows.
  8. I can tell you, since this was available for quite a while, is that now we can use 64 bit development tools (for example 3DSMax 2012 64 bits). Of course all versions of Prepar3D are still 32 bits. As usual, there are a lot of improvements that are "under the hood" that you will never notice but that we as developers are very grateful for.
  9. You need to download the SDK. There you will find a topic called Sample Network and Multi-Channel Configuration files. Click on it and it will review the possibilites for using multiple computers to run a single session. There was a page with more detailed info but it seems that it was deleted.

    Question

You only need to purchase a license once. Unless you decide to purchase the developer's version which is paid monthly.
  11. The tend to look darker than normal because now the light source is outside the cockpit and light can only come from the windows. This is the best approximation to how things look in the real world.
  12. I think you should ask an individual developer if they are going to port their aircraft to Prepar3D. I think A2A is thinking to do that with their C172.
  13. Actually P3D works better with multiple linked computers. One to handle the sim and the others to handle the graphics. I saw a bona fide training simulator for the Saab Grippen that needed 11 computers to work properly. Only one was handling the simulation. The other 10 were handling the graphics. Like: One for the HUD, One for each terrain display. One for each MFDs, etc. If you have the disposable income, you can try using two computers for better performance. One handles the simulation and the other one handles the graphics output.
  14. You must purchase a new V2 license. It is exactly as moving from FS9 to FSX, each requires their own license.
  15. @Manny: the basic file structure has not changed. All you have to do is copy your scennery to the appropiatye folder. The problem is with those products that require activation since the support must come from the relevant vendor/developer. @wlix261: Althoughv the licensing and pricing is unknown at this time I do believe that LM will maintain the same license options as they currently exist. The only change would be to add the Professioanl Plus license which gives access to the weapons system.
