Tried to shoot an LPV approach with the GTN model MU-2 (version 2.2). The GTN indicated LPV and I had LNAV guidance, but the HSI G/S was flagged off. I have had proper G/S indications for ILS thus far, this was my first LPV attempt. Is there anything I should be checking or steps to take to help correct? Thanks, Don Douglas

I've had similar FPS issues also, but haven't nailed it down to the GTN-- what aircraft are you using?-- does it affect others too? -
http://www.flightsounds.com/flightsoundx --> for the adapter-- there are certainly others out there. It shows up as it's own audio device. Really, that's all you need, and you can plug your aviation headset right into it. But I also put my portable intercom in line for two reasons: 1. I like the sidetone (hearing yourself talk)-- it really improves your communications and 2. Other headsets can be plugged in and share the intercom if I choose to.

I have a USB headset adapter with my real world headdset. The USB adapter is the way to go so you can isolate your comms (in and output) to the headset and leave everything else in your speakers. I can also plug my portable intercom into it and others can listen in to-- this also provides useful sidetone. Use with Vatsim with no problem.

Detent is near the bottom, maybe 1/8 inch or so travel from bottom to detent. Total Travel is approx 60 degress and about 4 inches. Center of travel is at vertical. Six controls shaped like flap levers on the bottom, different botton assinment for each up and down. The are easy to hit with your hand, so be careful. It will wear out like anything else-- mine is 4-5 years old and the friction is starting to vary a lot between levers, but the signal still seems intact. I like using separate levers for T/R axis', but that is just my preference. The detents are useful for ground/flight idle ranges for Turboprops. The reverse levers' detent is idle reverse with below being stowed, and above being increased reverse thrust. It has interchangeable tops and I use fro Turboprops, pistons, and jets. Big difference (well, depending on how you mount the Saitek) is that it can only sit on top of the desk, with the clamps wrapping around the front edge of your desk. Depending on your layout, that can effect ergonomics. It is useful that it only shows up as one device and only uses 1 USB port as well-- makes making assignments easier. You probably won't go wrong with either! Don

Agree with pilottj, Cut an engine at takeoff and see how you fare! The real 310 is quite the beast in that situation as well. Unless you've got a few hundred feet under you,are clean, and are getting well past that blue line, the best thing to do is close the throttles and land/crash straight ahead. Below that, if you're thinking of taking that dead engine flying, it will be a short flight. Rudder pedals are a must, once you give that last few inches of power, it really tries to go off the side, unless you're on your toes! Don

I would assume they have suspended the Blanco account as well-- perhaps he will contact Vatsim to resolve also? Unfortunate guilty until proven innocent mentality. What data are they collecting to identify a particular PC aside from IP? To the OP, I wish no offense, and I know in frustration some things go out the window, however, correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation will take you a long way when in this kind of situation. It's all you have to present yourself and your character with in this kind of environment--Look, they hold all the cards and you hold none. Calm down and take a deep breath, contact them again and rehash the facts, and find out what needs to be done to correct it. All said, if you don't pursue this further, and utilize another service, I would not blame you! Good luck, Don

Looks like vataware has shut down. Site has been replaced by a link to Facebook, detailing the situation. Hopefully, someone will be able get this valuable resource back up and running! Don
