Airplanes lining up but not taking off is likely a problem with the sceneey, like a missing holding point. FSLTL only injects/removes traffic (based on your citerias) and once injected traffic is handled by MSFS traffic engine.

How does the game simulate those things when flying an airliner?

I don't really understand why missions are considered gamifcations when there is real world pilots flying the same kind of missions every day. It's a flight simulator, not an airliner simulator.

I had the same problems, but like rlashier said, delete your rolling cache, restart flightsim and then re-enable rolling cache. It solved the problem for me,
