  1. I am hoping that someone may have had a similar issue as I've searched the forums, google and have yet to find a solution. I am attempting to start the FltPlan GPS application to connect my iPad to MS2020. When attempting to start I get two errors within the event log and the application never starts. So far I've done: Ensured Windows 10 is up to date. Run Dell Support assist to find any hidden updates. Removed .net v4, restarted, and added the .net feature pack. Installed all C++ packs for both x64 and x86: 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015-2019 Redownloaded the setup.exe for FlitPlan Go GPS, it's an MSI so no way to force admin installation, however I am the only user and administrator account on the PC. Installing into the x86 program files directory and leaving the defaults. Installing for both "Just Me" and "Everyone" No other apps throw the kernelbase.dll error, I don't think this is the error and if I solve the framework issue I think the next error will resolve itself. First Error: Application: FltPlan GPS.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. 2. Circling back to this thread just in case someone else may find it and use it as a solution. I tried the above from Fielder with no luck, however by shear luck I could not find the game in the start menu and launched the app from the Windows store app and MSFS2020 downloaded in it's entirety without any hiccups that I can see. Whether or not having the Windows store open or launched from the store made a difference I am not about to remove it just to find out.
  3. Neither are really a solution, of my 1229GB data cap (Comcast) I end months using between 450-550gb. I should be able to download this sim 4 times over however their CDN cannot seem to deliver files in a consistent manner. Are there direct download links to the required files somewhere?
  4. I am hoping that someone might be able to assist here as I've tried just about everything I can find on google without any success in fully installing MSFS2020. In September of last year, I tried out Game Pass and downloaded/installed MSFS 2020 onto my PC without issues. The sim wasn't ready for what I wanted to use it for and I uninstalled from my PC and cancelled my Game Pass subscription. Last month, I signed up for Game Pass again and attempted to install leaving the game to download files overnight without any success and using up almost all of my monthly internet cap. With a new month, I am trying once more with my attempts below however I cannot seem to get it to work and am at the point where maybe I just need to stick to X-Plane with Ortho. Install into E:\MSFS 2020 folder which the drive has been formatted just prior. Cleared space on C:\ and let it install into default locations. Reset Windows Store/X-Box app through the Windows Settings menu Delete previous file downloaded to restart the process; most notoriously I get hung up on fs-base-0.1.61.fspackage.004 and sits in a loop. Changed DNS servers, forced static IP address. Reset the Windows Store using Beside attempting to purchase through Steam I am stuck, and do not want to "let it run" as it keeps downloading through my bandwidth cap. Is there a DVD version which I can purchase? Any other suggestions? Thanks,
  5. Chock you are correct that the 182 does not have an actual radar onboard. Could be ADSB or XM based radar in the 182, I also see that the shot is taken at ground level which would indicate that it's from an external source as you'd have a LOT of ground clutter.
  6. Whole thing is free, approach plates and airport charts with geo referencing. If you can get ahold of an iPad it's a game changer.
  7. Yes, they are the FAA variant but fully free and downloadable for offline use.
  8. I noticed this as well earlier today. I would file a bug report as they show on Bing "3d" maps, I would think that the sim should have them as well. I filed but the more who do will make some noise.
  9. They support both X-Plane and P3D as GPS sources. I use the app every time I fly a proper flight in X-Plane. I doubt MSFS2020 will be supported as they are focusing on the "pro" level sims. It's a great tool in the full motion sim for training.
  10. As the title states, after using the alpha, beta and now the release candidate this sim feels like the complete successor to flight where that sim should have been finished to. There are a lot of reviews focused on how the sim in performing but I am more focused on the legacy of the franchise and I don't feel that this sim lives up to the "MSFS" franchise. I firmly believe that this sim has potential and time will tell if Asobo and MS will work with the community but I don't think that this is apart of the flight sim franchise. A few things stand out: Keyboard Mapping - I understand evolution but from someone who has been simming since '95 this is something that is hard to relearn and breaks from the original series. UI feel - It's very apparent that this is a different team with a different thought process. Flight Feel - The new flight model just doesn't feel right, I've got about 300 hours in the 172 and the legacy model feels more correct. From the technical aspects: I use a super ultrawide 49", to my knowledge there is no way to change the field of view angle which makes the immersion drop. Even with a 300mbps download speed I am seeing scenery "pop" even at low and slow flight. I think it has promise but not under the name Microsoft Flight Simulator, this should have been the evolution from flight. I think this would have kept the anticipation and expectations at a reasonable level.
  11. I have mine working in XP11, I ran it through plane maker and saved it with the updated formats. It does require an updated download from dreamfoils website for the dream engine however the dev has stated that the plane will be getting upgraded to XP11 standards.
  12. The EMB-110 is 27% off as the daily deal at the .org store for X-Plane users. Good until tomorrow at 10am CST. http://store.x-plane.org/Embraer-110--Bandeirantes_p_394.html
  13. Both engines on the barron won't spin, I'm guessing LR is getting a lot of bg reports for it.
  14. For those that are on facebook and follow PMDG, the DC-6 is boarding. This means just another step closer. Next will be takeoff, cruise, approach and then landing.
