  1. Same issues with 13.9. I can suggest to stick with 13.4. It runs without any problem. FSX is almost 8 years old without any updates, so I'm afraid things like this will happen in the future with newer drivers...... Restart Win in safe mode, do a "clean unistall of all the catalyst drivers. Reboot without the video drivers. Remove any folder or amd file remaining. Reboot. Follow this guide, I found it because I had the same issue: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1656824/atikmdag-sys-error-bsod-startup.html Use the 2nd metod. I hope this helps. It helped me and now I'm using again 13.4 I'll repost the metod. For re-installing 13.4 and avoid the BSOD on Win 7 startup. Follow every step : Step 1: Download and install the AMD Catalyst (13.4 in this case) graphic driver.AND DON'T TURN OFF OR RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AFTER INSTALLATION Step 2: Then go to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and rename atikmdag.sys to atikmdag.sys.old. Step 3: Go to AMD directory (usually in C:\AMD) and find the file atikmdag.sy_. The full path should be: C:\AMD\Support\134_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql\Packages\Drivers\Display\W86A_INF\B155215 Step 4: Copy the file to your Desktop directory. Step 5: Open cmd.exe by going to Start -> type cmd in the search box and hit enter. Step 6: Change the directory to Desktop by typing chdir Desktop. Step 7: Then, type EXPAND.EXE atikmdag.sy_ atikmdag.sys. Or, expand -r atikmdag.sy_ atikmdag.sys Step 8: When the expansion is complete, copy the new atikmdag.sys from your Desktop to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers Step 9: Restart your computer and the problem should be resolved.
  2. By my personal experience, everything I run under OpenGL works smoother and better. I tried several games and programs that allow me to switch between these libraries and I clearly see a huge increase in performance using OpenGL.
  3. Well, the most promising graphic thing is that it uses OpenGL and not DirectX :smile:I really hope this project wil go straight forward!
  4. Well, AS2012 uses only 2 frequencies for ATIS: 122.00 and 122.02. So if You tune to them, yes You are listening to the AS2012 ATIS :(
  5. Mine is parked at LICT, I'm still waiting for the first officer :( .
  6. Only my opinion: the -700 has the 24k engines thrust rating which allows for 22k and 20k derates. My request like the OP is to have at least the -700 at a 22k full thrust, like the SAS ones I often fly, to obtain 20K and 18K derates as suggested and calculated by TOPCAT.The NGX is really the most complex and fully featured 737 addon so I'm still trying to understand what's the huge difficulty in adding different engines ratings as per real life ones.I know that several airlines simply apply a fixed derate to engines' full thrust, but as I said above this influences all the "assumed-temperature" and "derates" calculations.
  7. No, no!! :( "faciscti" is a sicilian word, it's a past in English: it stays for: "You have done/made". Yes You are right, it could erroneously appear as the word "fascist", but this is a different kind of word.... A bad Italian story.......
  8. Sure, there is also a monument dedicated to soldiers and civils deaths under air bombing during the "Operation Husky" in 1943. It is located in the mountaneous area called "Monti Nebrodi", one of the best natural reserve in Italy and Europe.I repeat, a very nice place.... I can't imagine Mr. Randazzo could have Sicilian roots :( ..... "Compare! Minchia facisti u megghiu aereu pi FSX!!", translation: congrats my friend, You have made the best FSX airplane.
  9. Randazzo is a small city here in Sicily, about 50 Km from my home town. I think You can see it on Google Maps. It's a nice place near the Etna vulcan. Here in Sicily "Randazzo" is also a common surname, it's used a bit even in the rest of Italy. :(
  10. With this name he can only have Sicilian roots! Trust me! :( :(
  11. Yes I had this issue once, then I realized my position in the VC was behind the seat even if I were able to see the panels. So I moved my position forward and the issue was gone away.
  12. We misunderstood each other My point was that Air France, Lufthansa, Alitalia, Iberia, TAP, British Aiways and many others are strongly supporting Airbus even because it's an European Industry. The more Airbus sells aircrafts the better is European aviation business. It's natural, it's not a bad thing.I'm not saying they are bad, I think Airbus style aircrafts are the future of aviation simply because high quality automation is a major benefit for passengers. The time of Super Heroes pilots is largely passed, too much accidents, now the market and authorities trend is: "safety first". Passengers are the only reason that moves the airliners business, no passengers = no more airliners and no more commercial pilot jobs.Airplanes makers must protect passengers even against accidental pilot errors. I know how is fun to do all manually in a flight simulator, but in the real life the way to go is the Airbus way. On my own I'm convinced by this.Anyway I like more the Boeing design/style and its feel of solidity reliability. You're right, the 777 and the next 787 are FBW and have a level of automation hugely increased, and this also confirm the trend stated above.
  13. With all the due respect, I see You are trying to flame this thread. You have to learn how to be less arrogant. We were only positively talking about why Airbus is the "ONLY" choice for medium range by national carriers in Europe. In real life ops.I know I'm not an expert about flying, so I tend to not be as arrogant as You, but luckyly I'm not stupid and graduated in Economics.Take a look at thishttp://www.eads.com/...-structure.htmlFYI "Daimler" is owned by the German Government and European Union itself. SEPI is the Spanish government....... I know all is off topic, but have You seen infos about BF3 around here?
  14. You are saying the simple truth! Here in Europe You see more Airbus simply because national airlines are supporting their own industry. EADS is not a private owned company, it's an European National States owned consortium.Germany and France are the leading ones, followed by Spain, UK, Netherlands, Italy and so on. All these national Governments are the EADS, and so Airbus, investors. That said, I like Boeing Yes here in Europe, expecially here in Italy, things are really a mess. All governemts gave too much power to private Banks and they are now ruining us.... Supported by corrupted politicians..... Anyway this is not a politics forum, but I wish I could fly heading to Australia and live and work there for the rest of my life, I have many relatives there.
  15. I'm already using TOPCAT, it adds a touch of realism I've never experimented before. So I'm waiting for PFPX to achieve even more realism!NGX, TOPCAT, FS2Crew, PFPX and I'm done
