  1. Hehe!Mission accomplished, have a nice Flight guys, really I mean it..FSX?With ORBX, UTX, REX, FSG2010/Ultimate, AS2012, and what not, I see no reason to move anywhere.I was a Flight beta-tester, so I know the drill, and was surprised why they even wanted beta-testers, when they did not listen to any suggestions...Oh well, it´s just a game, relax. B)
  2. Looks like FSX too me, blurry ground and gravelstrip, and "The FSX Special" : Trees too close to the runway!Sorry guys, back to FSX, C Ya...PS: The only diff. I can spot, is that the trees are all black in Flight.
  3. Just read somewhere here on the awesome Avsim today, that someone locked the FPS at 25, inside FSX...Word Not Allowed´s advise in post #9 had me re-thinking too, thanks man! :Peace:Tested on the "too hot to handle" G73JH, and it works, really... - at 25 FPS, I have no stutters, no hickups, no flashing craziness, it´s smooth as XP-10 silk!Is it my eyes, is it all a dream, wishful thinking, do I have a problem, do I blink too little or maybe too much? What can it be?Try it, people, bipolar or not! :Party:PS: - and no blurries, I guess all the CPU power above the 25 FPS goes to texture rendering etc. - Am I right, wrong, or...?PPS: Next hurdle is the i5 / HD6970 rig, phew, problems ahead I think...
  4. Why you keep posting then..?Try the X-Plane forum instead!PS: "But the moment I start FSX or XPX I get green patches on the screen."You are wasting peoples time here, really...
  5. I won´t go into a discussion with you, but please wake up and look at reality, OK?i5 2500Ki7 2600KNvidia 580- and people still encounter performance issues!Your rig is not fit for FSX, period...Save up for a new one, instead of wasting your money with "patches".PS: You have been informed before:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/342918-would-this-be-worth-buying-for-fsx/
  6. Phew, ironmaiden, don´t you think it´s about time for a new rig??A new part here and there doesn´t make any sense, I´ve been there, done that, but surely I learned a lot, and paid a lot of cash too! Here´s the problem:AMD Athlon II X3 445 Get a new rig, please...
  7. That´s the beauty about FSX, right? Two veterans - Zach and Word Not Allowed - have totally different opinions about locked or unlocked FPS!Myself being Bipolar, I tend to switch between the two settings, right now it´s unlimited in FSX, and limited with FPS Limiter outside...This can change again and very quickly, like mood swings! :Just Kidding:
  8. Ok, Word Not Allowed, that was a bit dated, so here we go again, year 2010, is that OK?Remember, FSX is from around year 2000 or so, and hardware from 2012 apparently still have problems running the Hog!http://www.simforums...187.html#198187BTW, You recommend this tweak:FFTF=0.25That tweak is from 2007!!http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ptaylor/archive/2007/05/11/tweak-of-the-week.aspx :(
  9. You have an ATI card, not good..."Almost all my sliders are at 80%".Then you are in trouble, 100%!Reduce, and look here:http://www.strikingsoftware.com/forum/index.php?topic=266.0
  10. Have you tried the default FSX missions? They are absolutely awesome! :(
  11. FSX is a Tyrannosaurus rex!We try to beat a dead animal from precambrian ages up to year 2012 performance, and that´s not possible, the code is old, the whole game is weird, it´s unfinished. But hey, you know what I did today?Inspired by Mitch, the ever so positive simmer, I flew some Missions in FSX, and it was awesome!Try it, when you have the two SSD´s installed...Enjoy, that´s what it is all about, eh? :(
  12. It´s been mentioned before: SSD Caching!I really don´t know why people will not listen and try it out, it´s perfect with a fast WD 1 TB Black 64 Mb 6 Gb/s harddisk.."How much performance can you expect to gain by using Smart Response Technology? We tested the technology on a system equipped with a Core i7-2600K processor, 4GB of RAM, a WD Raptor hard drive, and a 20GB Intel solid-state drive, all running under Windows 7 Ultimate x64. With SRT disabled, the system posted a PCMark Vantage score of 12,138. With SRT acceleration enabled, the machine operating in Enhanced mode, and the entire 20GB capacity of the SSD used for SRT, the system's PCMark Vantage score jumped to 16,563. And with SRT operating in Maximized mode, performance in PCMark Vantage increased to 16,582--a boost of about 36 percent over the system's performance without SRT. What the numbers don't convey is the speedier feel of the system. The SSD's shorter access times and quicker transfers resulted in a much snappier and more responsive system than you'd get with a hard drive alone. The difference is like night and day."http://www.pcworld.com/article/248828/how_to_set_up_intel_smart_response_ssd_caching_technology.html
  13. - and now you´re un-locked, why keep whining about it??? :rolleyes:BTW I totally agree with you on Flight...
  14. I get sore eyes looking at the water and the clouds, it´s just horrible...So I load up *** and holy **** (censored) the HiFi Clouds (Thanks AS2012) - and the water (thanks both AS2012 and REX) - just cures the sore eyes in an instant!
  15. Agree... I´m very confused, because I can´t get that excitement Jeroen has, am I sick maybe?Or maybe just fine, and Flight fans suffer from "the new toy syndrome"?
